Lamborghini has rewritten the future. And to make everything perfectly clear, it has also ushered in a new era.
Ferruccio Lamborghini hatte sich eine einfache, aber wirksame Methode ausgedacht, um die Wirkung seiner Fahrzeuge sofort zu erkennen: Beim Fahren achtete er genau auf die Menschen am Straßenrand. Wenn sie sich nicht erstaunt umdrehten, war das Design des Wagens einfach nicht attraktiv genug. Die Modelle von Lamborghini waren so konzipiert, dass sie nicht nur den Fahrer, sondern auch die Menschen im Vorbeifahren begeisterten. Ein Konzept, das seit jeher ein zentraler Bestandteil des ikonischen Automobilherstellers ist und im Laufe der Jahre Hand in Hand mit der allgemeinen Entwicklung des Designs und des technologischen Fortschritts weiterentwickelt wurde.
Ferruccio Lamborghini had devised a simple yet effective method to immediately recognize the impact that his cars had: While driving, he would pay careful attention to the people at the sides of the road. If they didn’t turn around in astonishment, the car’s style was simply not attractive enough. Lamborghini’s cars were conceived to thrill not only the drivers, but also the people around as they went past. A concept that has always been a keystone of the iconic car manufacturer, and over the years it has been developed hand in hand with the general evolution of style and technological progress.
Die Produktion des Lamborghini 400 GT, einer größeren und komfortableren Version der ersten GT-Modellreihe, begann 1966 mit einem 4-Liter-V12-Motor, der sich bereits in den letzten 23 Exemplaren des 350 GT fand. Der 400 GT war der erste echte Viersitzer von Lamborghini. Die Produktion wurde nach 225 Einheiten eingestellt, der Motor hingegen fand in verschiedenen Modellen noch jahrzehntelang weiter Verwendung.
Production of the Lamborghini 400 GT, a larger and more comfortable version of the first GT model line, began in 1966 with the 4.0-liter V12 engine that had already been used in the last 23 units of the 350 GT. The 400 GT was Lamborghini’s first true four-seater. Production ceased after 225 units, but the engine continued to be used in various models for decades.

Das Projektfahrzeug J wird 2012 zuerst auf dem Genfer Autosalon gezeigt und erregt sofort großes Aufsehen. Weder Verdeck noch Fenster stören die Linienführung und unterstreichen den Fluss von Filippo Perinis Design. Winzige Windabweiser sorgen dafür, dass der (bei über 300 Spitze ziemlich starke) Fahrtwind die Frisur des Fahrers nicht verwirbelt. Angetrieben vom bewährten V12-Antriebsstrang des Aventador mit 700 PS ist der Aventador J auf pure Performance getrimmt: Es gibt weder Radio noch Klimaanlage, dafür wiegt die Studie nur 1.575 Kilo. Eine Produktion des radikalen Lambos ist allerdings nicht geplant. Das Einzelstück des J wird kurz nach der Vorstellung an einen Sammler verkauft.
The Aventador J concept was first presented at the Geneva Motor Show in 2012 and immediately caused a stir. Its top and windows blend seamlessly with the silhouette and emphasize the dynamics of Filippo Perini’s design. Tiny wind deflectors make sure the headwind (which can be quite strong at a top speed of more than 300 km/h) does not dishevel the hair of the driver. Powered by the tried-and-tested V12 engine of the Aventador with its 690 hp, the Aventador J is streamlined for pure performance: There is no radio or air conditioning, in exchange for a total weight of only 1,575 kilos. The radical Lambo is not intended for production, however. The only specimen of the J was sold to a collector shortly after its presentation.
Das Erfolgsmodell aus Sant’Agata Bolognese erhielt im zweiten Jahr seines Bestehens die offene Version der AWDs. Das Dach besteht aus zwei getrennten Kohlefaser-Paneelen, wiegt nur sechs Kilo und ist leicht abzunehmen. Allerdings musste die Konstruktion der hinteren Säule deutlich verstärkt werden, um die Verwindungssteifigkeit des Fahrzeugs zu garantieren.
The successful AWD Aventador got an open-top version in its second year of existence. The roof consists of two separate carbon fiber panels, weighs only six kilos and is easy to remove. The rear pillar had to be significantly reinforced, however, to guarantee the torsional stiffness of the vehicle.

A thin red line runs along the roof, engine hood, wing mirrors and the external profiles of the air vents – a trademark of the Pirelli brand.
