The thread continues to wrap around the caterpillar, until he is completely covered. The caterpillar stays in his thick blanket of thread without moving for days and days and days . . .
One morning, the caterpillar’s chrysalis (which is what the soft blanket is called) starts to shake. WHirr . . . Whirr . . . pop! A tiny colorful wing, all damp and wrinkly, comes out of the blanket of thread. pop! And out comes the other wing . . . The wings start to beat and free themselves completely of the thread.

“What’s this? Something magical has happened! I have become a butterfly!”, exclaims the little caterpillar with surprise. Quickly flapping his splendid wings, finally he can start his adventures around the world.
