LET’S PLAY DOMINOES
PRACTICE ASSOCIATING NUMBERS WITH THEIR QUANTITIES BY PLAYING DOMINOES.
• Prepare 24 cards by cutting out cardboard pieces measuring 2.5 inches by 1.5 inches (6 x 4 cm).
• Attach two stickers from the back of the book to each card: one sticker with a number and one with drawings.
• Choose the stickers at random; number and quantity do not have to match!
• Divide the cards into two or more piles, depending on the number of players. Each player should get an equal number of cards.
• The first player selects one of his or her cards and lays it down with the numbers and drawings facing up.
• The second player places a card beside the first, matching a number with a quantity, or vice versa (the card can face any direction as long as the corresponding images are side by side).
• If a player does not have a matching card, he or she skips a turn.
• Players take turns matching numbers and drawings until they run out of cards.
