HoloKote technology is a secure watermark that is frosted onto the card surface during the normal print cycle using standard consumables (dye film and cards). The HoloKote print process produces a watermark-like layer that can be visually verified when the card is tilted in the light. With all Magicard direct-to-card printers, the user can select from three standard secure HoloKote designs using the printer driver.

Custom HoloKote For enhanced visual security, Custom HoloKote enables an organisation to implement their own personalised logo or other security design. Custom HoloKote is printed in a grid pattern across the card surface and is only available on the 600.

Custom HoloKote Flex™ Custom HoloKote Flex offers the highest level of HoloKote security by enabling the customised watermark to be printed anywhere across the entire card surface. One standard design is included with the 600. Standard HoloKote Flex 600 only

Smart card encoding

Card encoding enables electronic data to be written to the card as it is being printed. Our printers support a wide range of integrated card encoding options.

All printers can be upgraded with ISO standard 7811 compatible HiCo encoding for magnetic stripe cards. Dual coercivity HiCo/LoCo magnetic stripe encoder offers encoding of all three tracks with total user format flexibility.

ISO7816 contact chip encoding in combination with contactless encoding such as MIFAREÂŽ, MIFARE DESFireÂŽ and iClass can be specified autonomously or in combination with a magnetic stripe encoder option. Other specialist encoding devices are available on request with all professional series printers.
