Principal’s Message Dear Tornado Family, And just like that the first half of the school year has been completed, as we look to complete the year strong, resolute, and meet all of our goals. Our first semester indicators point to a school, student body, staff, and community on the rise and on the move. Our tardies are down 80% and our behavior referrals are down 40 % from the same time last year. Our graduation rate was 97%, and we had 92% of our students earn a college credit or career certification, preparing them with a head start for a strong future. Students are getting to class on time with a sense of purpose and vision. That vision is to create future leaders for jobs, careers and opportunities not yet imagined. We talk every day that leaders do what is right, even when it is not popular and without the opportunity for personal acclaim and self-aggrandizement. Leaders, adapt, improvise, and overcome and are prepared for the challenges that life in the complex technological world of the twenty first century is bringing. Our goal is to be an A school, the best public high school in our area and state. With first class unmatched facilities, a robust and world class curriculum with our Cambridge/AICE program, our CAICC Academy, an academy of distinction, an outstanding teaching faculty and administrative and support staff – we are poised to reach our goals and fulfill our loft aspirations. By working together, believing in each other, and pushing and pulling in the same direction together, we can and will accomplish all of our goals. Thank you for your support, dedication and love for our school and community. Our school is better and stronger with your support. Go Go Go! See you at the top!
