OLP has an enduring legacy in our community as not only one of the leading college prep institutions but also as the oldest high school in San Diego having been founded in 1882 by the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet, whose charism of “unifying love,” has served as the institution’s guiding light for nearly 143 years. To date, OLP has graduated over 10,000 alumnae who have each made their mark on the world as women of heart, faith, courage, and excellence. As an independent school, OLP does not receive public or diocesan funding and, therefore, relies on the generosity of community support to ensure that each student has access to leadership opportunities, visual and performing arts, top-notch athletics programs and world-class STEM programs, such as our internationally competitive robotics team. The Golf Tournament and Spa Day is the only major fundraising event the school will host this year. All net proceeds raised from this event will support our unrestricted Carondelet Annual Fund which helps our students become “all which women are capable” by supporting our growing STEAM program, supporting over 350 annual leadership opportunities, fueling the The Visual and Performing Arts Program, service-learning opportunities throughout the community, and allowing students to live the mission of our school.
