MORE FOR YOUR MONEY

BUILDING ON OUR STRONG FOUNDATION

As I reflect on my first full quarter as CEO of Adams Bank & Trust, I want to begin by sharing how grateful I am for the opportunity to serve in this role. I am here largely because of the coaching, guidance, and mentoring of two men: my dad, Chad Adams, and my uncle, Todd Adams.

Becoming CEO was an opportunity I had long hoped to earn someday, but it came sooner than expected. The transition has been bittersweet, and I am very grateful for the support of so many people behind me, including Chad’s continued counsel as Chairman of the Board.

I am proud to represent the fifth generation of family leadership at Adams Bank & Trust, alongside Amanda A. Hoover, our Chief Financial Officer and Todd’s daughter, and four other family members in our generation who are currently working at the Bank.

There will not be a day when we don’t see Todd’s fingerprints throughout this organization. Our core values are our rock - the foundation Todd helped lay for us. The way we honor him is by how we move forward: staying true to our mission and continuing to serve our customers, employees, and communities with integrity and care.

“ Remaining an independent, family owned bank in an evolving financial environment requires focus and intention. With a strong financial foundation, experienced leadership, and a deep commitment to our communities, Adams Bank & Trust is well positioned for the future.”

As the 250th anniversary of our country’s founding approaches this summer, I find inspiration in the actions of the Founding Fathers. Independence wasn’t achieved by words alone - it required deliberate action, thoughtful leadership, and a shared commitment to the future. That same mindset continues to guide how we approach our role as a community bank today.

STRATEGIES FOR YOUR SUCCESS

Continuing through the second quarter of 2026, we’re seeing encouraging signs of momentum, both for our customers and the economy as a whole.

Many of the challenges of 2025 are still with us. Higher prices, tariffs, disrupted ag markets, and elevated interest rates continue to create uncertainty. High fuel prices and the timing of any future rate cuts are wild cards as world events play out.

Even so, economic activity appears to be picking up in the markets we serve, especially in the real estate sector. We’re seeing more homes and businesses selling, a positive sign after a stretch of slower activity.

We welcome being part of this momentum in our communities, a list that now includes our new branch in Windsor, Colorado.

It has never been the bank’s philosophy to grow simply for the sake of growth. AB&T has always grown organically, in areas where a family-owned community bank is a good fit and can form meaningful partnerships.

Whatever headwinds you’re facing, there are ways to move ahead and improve your financial position. But smart financial decisions will be the key. It’s an important time to consult with your advisors.

Real Estate

The in-house mortgage solutions we offer continue to be very helpful to homebuyers and business owners in a tight real estate market.

As an independent community bank, we’re able to be more flexible and creative with financing than the big banks.

Not many banks offer bridge loans, but they’re a long-time specialty for AB&T.

We also offer financing for lots and construction, and we continue to facilitate secondary market loans.

Our lender expertise plays to your advantage. You have access to very experienced bankers who are going to explore all possible mortgage options and walk you through all the paperwork.

“ Whatever headwinds you’re facing, there are ways to move ahead and improve your financial position. But smart financial decisions will be the key. It’s an important time to consult with your advisors.

Agriculture

Last year was a tough one for farmers, and many of the challenges are ongoing.

Commodity prices are down for most crops and corn remains in the $4 range, making margins even tighter for producers.

Cattle prices are at record highs, but we know that ranchers are facing a variety of other challenges this year.

As ripple effects continue to unfold across the ag community, strategic planning and community support are more important than ever.

With our deep roots in ag lending, we are no strangers to this kind of ebb and flow. We’re here in good times and bad, and we have weathered all

kinds of economic cycles alongside our customers.

The farm and ranch community has always found a way forward — and we’re here to help you find yours. Whether it’s using some land equity to term out some debt or improving efficiencies in your operation, we can help you explore your options.

Business

The business sector is experiencing similar pressures. Interest rates have been fairly stagnant and that’s a challenge as loans reprice. Prices are higher, tightening cash flow. There’s still a labor shortage, and tariffs add another layer of strain for many businesses.

Again, it’s important to sit down with your financial professionals and pencil things out.

How can you stay profitable and maintain healthy cash flow? Where are your opportunities?

As you plan, remember AB&T’s in-house business resources.

Jason Walters, our Director of SBA Lending, specializes in helping customers with government guaranteed lending programs including SBA and USDA.

There’s also our Small Business Banking Group, a team dedicated to helping business owners secure financing for smaller business costs, from initial start-up purchases to equipment upgrades.

Just remember that AB&T is always here for consultative conversations. By talking with your bankers and leaning on their expertise, you can maneuver through the challenges, find your opportunities, and build a plan that supports your long-term success.

As the bank continues to grow, we appreciate the talented employees we are able to have on our team. We want to recognize these employees who have recently celebrated milestone anniversaries.

Each quarter we will recognize employees by showing their years of service, photo, title/position, office location, and hire date.

BUILDING ON OUR STRONG FOUNDATION

(continued from page 1)

This past December, we were excited to expand into Windsor, Colorado, with the opening of our newest fullservice branch. Windsor is a growing and vibrant community, and we have been humbled by the warm welcome and support we’ve received. We also look forward to sharing more news about continued growth in the months ahead.

While expanding our footprint is important, we are equally focused on how our customers experience banking with us every day. We continue to invest in secure, practical digital tools that improve convenience while protecting your information and accounts.

At the same time, we believe our role as a bank goes beyond transactions. We want to see the individuals, families, and businesses we serve succeed financially.

“ I look forward to honoring Todd by continuing to build on the strong foundation he laid and by leading Adams Bank & Trust with the same sense of responsibility, care, and commitment that has guided this organization for generations.”

That responsibility relies on sound judgment, trust, and a long-term commitment to helping our customers build strong financial futures.

Todd was well known for responding to the question “How are you?” with the phrase, “Grateful and blessed.”

The past few months have been a whirlwind, but I feel the same way — grateful and blessed for this opportunity, and for the customers, employees, and communities that make Adams Bank & Trust what it is.

I look forward to honoring Todd by continuing to build on the strong foundation he laid and by leading Adams Bank & Trust with the same sense of responsibility, care, and commitment that has guided this organization for generations.

Rounding out the intros, here’s a bit about me.

I’m grateful to lead this team, and proud of the work we do.

I’m a graduate of the University of Nebraska – Lincoln where I earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting and a minor in Economics, and a Master of Public Accounting. I began my career working as an auditor for KPMG, an international accounting firm.

I became a Raymond James Financial Advisor located in the Ogallala branch office in 2013.

I became a Certified Public Accountant in 2014 and a Certified Financial Planner in 2016. I was promoted to the role of Branch Manager in 2017.

My wife, Meagan, and I have four children, and their schedules keep us very busy.

As an affiliate of Adams Bank & Trust, our philosophy is always “customer first.” What we do has to be the right fit for the people we serve. We must act in their best interest and consider their bottom line before our own.

As we grow our team of advisors into the communities the bank serves, we are careful to hire for the right fit for the culture we are determined to maintain.

Just as the four of us are on the same team, our Raymond James office and Adams Bank & Trust

“Being part of Adams Bank & Trust means that our philosophy is always ‘customer first.’ What we do has to be the right fit for the people we serve.”

are on the same team. We work together to find the right solution for our customers.

If we don’t have the right solution for your needs, we are able to get you in front of a banker who can offer products that might suit you better.

When your financial life feels simpler, the rest of life often does too. That’s our focus as investment professionals.

To offer guidance that truly fits your needs, we take the time to understand what matters to you — your plans, your timeline, and your comfort level.

We work to clear up the questions that naturally come with investing. We look for opportunities that support the future you want for you and your family.

Through it all, our team’s guiding principle is simple: we treat others the way we’d want to be treated. When we lead with respect and care, we feel that everything else tends to fall into place.
