All purses are subject to industry funding, slot performance and simulcast revenue. ASHA reserves the right to adjust any or all stake race purses if industry funding is not sufficient to support advertised stake purses.

In the event of any discrepancy between the 2026 ASHA Stakes Guide, the ASHA website or other stake guide information and the ASHA adjusted industry funding projections, the ASHA adjustment will prevail. in the event of a discrepancy between the ASHA website and the stake guide, information on the ASHA website will prevail.

All purses are subject to Horse Racing Alberta approval.

Horse Racing Alberta may require all horses declared to stake races to be on the grounds of Century Downs or Century Mile racetracks up to 48 hours prior to the race in which such horses are to start. These horses may be placed in a retention barn.

Horses placed in retention will be subject to the Rules of Retention as directed by HRA.

Purses shall be divided as follows:

1) Seventy percent (70%) to the final.

2) Thirty percent (30%) to be divided equally among the eliminations.

For races split into eliminations:

1.Horses owned by the same owner(s) must be seeded in separate elimination heats to the extent possible.

2 Horses trained by the same trainer must be seeded in separate elimination heats to the extent or degree possible

In a race requiring one or more eliminations, the final shall be limited to:

1 Horses that have started in an elimination

2 Horses declared to a final are the top 9 money earners in the elimination The next highest declared money earners, in descending order shall appear as also-eligible.

3.If nine (9) top money earners are not declared to the final, declared non money earners shall be eligible

4 In the event of a tie for official placing in eliminations, a draw by lot shall determine the starters and also-eligibles for the final.

All starters must be declared at or prior to the normal closing time stipulated on the condition sheet
