Inspired by the people I met, I began capturing images of the residents through my art... Patrice waits to hear from her daughter who she has very little contact with...[She] often feels anxious and sadness because she feel hopeless, unheard, and stuck... [she] is in her late 80’s and lives in a nursing home.”

I began medication management for my more severe depressive episodes... At age 50 an artist friend introduced me to a medium where I felt a natural affinity: alcohol inks. The very first moment the inks hit paper... I was transported out of the muck and mire of depression and anxiety into the soothing, healing light of creative expression.”
