A PLACE TO

BE YOU 5000+ STUDENTS SMALL BUT MIGHTY

HELLO

Welcome to Abertay University!

We’re so excited to have you here and can’t wait to show you around.

This is your chance to see what life here is really like. You can attend a programme talk, explore our campus, chat to students and staff, and get answers to the questions that matter to you.

By the end of the day, you’ll have a better idea of whether Abertay feels like the right fit for your future.

Please use this programme to help plan your day.

Don’t hesitate to ask lots of questions and get familiar with our compact city centre campus. If you have any questions or need help, just speak to our Student Events Team or any member of staff – they’ll be wearing blue Abertay hoodies and t-shirts.

Enjoy your visit, and we look forward to welcoming you back to Abertay University as a student in September!

All the best,

THE ABERTAY TEAM

P.S. Don’t forget to grab your voucher for a FREE ice-cream when you check-in. You’ll find the ice-cream cart beside Campus Tours, C109, Ground Floor of Old College Building.

Official photography and videography will be taking place at today’s Offer Holder Day.

The photographs and videos may be used by Abertay for marketing purposes on our website, social media channels and third-party publications. Please let a member of staff know if you do not wish to appear in photographs or videos.

CITY LIFE

THE CITY OF DISCOVERY

We’re proud to say Dundee is an awesome place to study … and live.

When you join Abertay, you’re not just picking a place to study, you’re picking your new home. We’re close to the beach and the glorious Scottish countryside. Combined with bags of culture and the city being one of the cheapest places to live in the UK, it’s clear to see why Dundee is a top student destination.

THANK YOU FOR THE MUSIC!

From Be Charlotte to Hannah Laing, Danny Wilson to The View, music is embedded in Dundee’s soul. You never know which stars of the future you might be seeing, and big names regularly play here.

SHOP LOCAL

The city is full of independent shops selling local products. Couple that with the usual high street chains like HMV, Primark, Mango and Waterstones, there’s plenty of retail therapy when you need it.

TAKE ME TO THE BEACH

Nearby Broughty Ferry, AKA ‘the Ferry’, has an idyllic beach. There’s open water swimming, stand up paddle boarding, kayaking and plenty golden sand to relax on.

GO WILD…

Tentsmuir, featured in the BBC’s ‘Springwatch’, is 20 mins away – a forest full of hiking/biking trails and miles of golden sand. You can spot dolphins and seals on the River Tay or go swimming and kayaking in one of the nearby lochs.

…OR GO OUT!

Local nightclubs regularly host big name DJs, and there are live music venues all over the city. You’ve got two cinema chains and an art house cinema as well. And check out the cafes, restaurants, bars and pubs.
