AFRICA

This continent is the cradle of life, spawning millions of species, from thumb-sized frogs and mountain gorillas to big tusker elephants. It is also the birthplace of Abercrombie & Kent, which began in 1962 as a pioneering luxury safari company in East Africa, a wilderness of grasslands, rust-red plains and deserts bigger than many nations. Beyond its timeless scenery and thrilling wildlife encounters, Africa has fascinating cultures, cuisines and histories, both ancient and modern. In Southern Africa, Cape Town’s viticulture and fine-dining scenes are legendary, while clues of ancient civilizations are etched on cave walls in Botswana – a reminder that the roots of our very existence lead back to this place.

ASIA

Asia is a treasure chest of time gone by, of dynasties, dzongs, geishas and Great Walls – but also of bullet trains, robots and hologram concerts. It’s these contrasts that travellers adore. Terracotta warriors outnumber giant pandas in China; streetfood stalls collect Michelin stars in Singapore; and Japan’s valleys echo with folk tales while its neon-lit cities invoke the future. In Southeast Asia, the storied Mekong threads together the nations of Cambodia, where the temples of Angkor rise from the jungle; Laos, with its French influences; and Vietnam, where hill tribes lead treks. The region is also blessed with sensational beaches, from Thailand to the Philippines, and world-class surfing in the Indonesian isles of Bali and Sumba.
