/CODES OF CONTEMPORARY ARCHITECTURE NATURE BELIEFS RESARCH AND EXPERIENCE CENTER Nature has always been the most decisive factor in human life. Human-nature relationship is an ongoing relationship from an early age to today. People wondered about nature at an early age and tried to understand it and add meaning. This effort led to beliefs in nature.Considering that the source of everything is nature, humanity saw itself as a part of nature and adapted to live in harmony with it, not to rule nature. Sometimes, by imitating nature, they created boundaries between them, and sometimes they took precautions against the boundaries of nature. At this point, they met with architecture. In other words, they have started to touch and shape nature. As in all lives of people, we see the effects of their beliefs in architecture. Throughout history, beliefs have been effective in the understanding of space,

A PILLBOX is a type of blockhouse, or concrete dug-in guard post, normally equipped with loopholes through which to fire weapons. It is in effect a trench firing step hardened to protect against small-arms fire and grenades and raised to improve the field of fire. Description The concrete nature of pillboxes means that they are a feature of prepared positions. Some pillboxes were designed to be prefabricated and transported to their location for assembly.Pillboxes constructed from a system of interlocking precast concrete blocks, with a steel roof. Pillboxes are often camouflaged in order to conceal their location and to maximize the element of surprise. They may be part of a trench system, form an interlocking line of defence with other pillboxes by providing covering fire to each other (defence in depth).

Hong Kong Island, which is chosen as the project area, is a point where various cultures coexist .Established between the green mountains rising in the middle of the island and the South China Sea, the city is shaped by the energy that nature has. Mount Davis, located in the western part of the island, was used by the Britts as a military base during the Second World War and there are still remains today also There is a connection between the military remains one end of which extends to the cemetery, which was used as a walking trail . Within the scope of the project, with the references taken from the points determined in the master plan, a campus is created to experience and research the natural beliefs that derive from the same source and differ in time. This campus, which will be organized on the ruins and walking paths in the project area, is also thought to have places that will establish a connection between the past and the present and describe people’s spiritual journeys. An alternative road concept was created at the summit considering the crossroads which force users to choose and exist along the axis, , and the connections were provided of the points not related to the summit . On the roads created by this concept, 2 tunnels were placed also the connection between the bald area , the blockhouses and the main mass in the north was created with these tunnels.

As we approach formation of the masses and materials to be used, the project area , the pillboxes and its typologies that are valuable for us was investigated. Within the scope of this research, the concrete effect and empty units of pillboxes came up to mind. A tear emphasizing a path was opened on the prism placed on the axle, . In addition to this rupture, the mass was shaped by inner gardens, which included trees on the ground . Two different masses were created in which the mass form was perceived by the ripped and inner gardens and designed in a way not to disturb the continuity with the understanding of the interior and its elements. It is aimed to experience the condition of the bunkers in these masses. In this context, the masses were partitioned as a closed space created by playing on the concrete shell and half open space in which the sinkholes were stacked as a reflection of the movement (defense and attack) and stagnation (storage) of the blockhouses. The connection between these spaces was constructed with the inner garden in the middle and the glass masses formed at the southern end of the mass. At the same time, it was aimed to increase the sense of experience within the space by adding a moving glass exhibition tube that destroys the boundary between the two spaces and strengthens the torn plane and by displaying the tools used during the war periods.

It is aimed to increase the effect of light inside the space by tearing through the shapes made with concrete and sinkholes on the interior surfaces of the space. At the same time, the amplifiers and seating areas that serve the inner gardens in the space are also realized through these arrangements. A wooden construction holding the sinkholes spreading in different elevations on the wall plane was established, and a fiction was created in the opposite space that references the plays on the concrete shell. Thus, in addition to the differences in action in the mass, two spaces separated from each other were created

/CODES OF CONTEMPORARY ARCHITECTURE DATA CENTER The fact that the poles were autonomous regions at the beginning of the design awakened the idea of ​​producing a spatial fiction with the principle of irregularity that will live there. Due to the fact that no state could intervene there, an anarchist hacker community was sent to the poles, allowing hackers to spread crimes that has been happenning around the world from the virtual environment.

In project design fiction, the idea of creating communes for hackers at the poles, the concept of the project, required organizing the spaces according to the Binary code system. This system is based on the mechanization of the numerical responses of the dates of anarchist activities on Earth at every layer of the project, according to the Binary code. According to the binary code, the spaces are grouped as 1 and 0 spaces. Privacy, which is one of our main design concepts, has enabled us to encode some of these spaces as ‘hidden’ 1 spaces that other than this commune cannot enter, and the remaining spaces as 0, and the ‘green’ volumes formed at the intersection of these 0’s and 1’s. The spaces that contain the vertical circulation between them were constructed by connecting these masses to each other as if they put a maze in a maze game, and brought a new layer called design 1 and 0 as well as 1.5, with the circulation interrupted rather than being fluid and easy.

The project was designed to preserve energy and what is precious in itself, and it was covered under the ground and thus protected from external environmental conditions, and the space was compartmentalized, and this conservation and protection idea was integrated with the design. 0 of these places, social areas, cafe areas, shelter etc. fields and 1’s were functioned as server spaces as information stores and operating centers.

/REVITILIZATION OF OLD SHOPPING MALL YOUTH CENTER Project stated in Maltepe Ankara. Maltepe has always had uniqe importance in capitol. There used to be a famosu bazaar for Ankara residence.Pepole used to go there and buy any kinds of staff before special occasions ( festivals and school openings ) by the time place loses ıts ımportance.Then shopping mall constructed there and ıt isn’t used that much. South of project area there is a historical mosque (Maltepe Mosque) Actually project includes Maltepe Mosques surrondings because this are has two major problems one is unaccessiblity and the other one is not to be seen.Reason for this problem is level differences.It is hard for people to realize and reach this place.

After consdiring all these problems we have to create a place where 覺t takes people from street level to top level so project has massive site and 覺t has to be connected all the way top. The other problem for this area is there is no place for young people to hang out , study , eat even though there are huge university campuses around so we thought 覺t is best 覺f we design here as a youth center.

We include differnt programs for this place such as library different ateliers, exhibition halls , cinema , cafes. Considering there is a lot of student residents around and they got stuck home.This place only can be enough for them to spend time. Also this place blocks green axes in Ankara where ıt starts Kurtuluş Park, Güvenpark , Kumrular, Maltepe , AOÇ. This project also combines green axis of Ankara.

/TOWN CENTER TRADE CENTER, ATELIERS, RESTAURANT, MUSEUM Elazığ is a very important historical place of Turkey. There are still ongoing archealogical works especially Harput side. Elazığ has ıts own culture from music, folk dance, handcrafts to food.There are so many things that we can say unique to Elazığ. As time goes by new generation forgets what they have and architectures also make them forget what is made them Elazığ.

There is a town center in Harput which has view to Harput Castle and mosque from Selçuklu.We asked design ıt considering historical value of Harput. Area needs for locals to do handcrafts and exhtibits to visitors and visitors to catch their breath rest for tour so project designed through these needs and values. Four masses desinged for this area each meets needs of Harput. One for visitors and locals to eat and try traditional food of Elazığ.Another one for locals to live and pass culture to next genereation by doing their handcrafts in ateliers. Another one for this place supply ıts own.Shops are included as a commercial needs.Last one for we mentioned there is an archealogical studies here.There are some historical pieces come up from it.This museum is for archealogical pieces to exhibit

/BASIC DESIGN STUDIO FRANZ KAFKA METAMORPHOSIS FROM UNIT TO WHOLE As a group, we have analyzed the ‘Metamorphosis’ book, which we have to abstract, in 4 sections.After my friend who started the order in the first cube, I started to break the order by taking my references from him. For this reason, I preferred cut cubes as a unit. Another reason why I prefer the cut cube is the direction I want without worrying about the connection points.I could change it, I could also play with its dimensions. At first, one side was cut and it was going in the form of a chain. Because of the shape of the cut cube, I could only go in two directions. Because of the twists on it, meaningless gaps began to form between them.Finally, I finished it at three points so that I could provide enough reference points for my friend in the third cube.

/CONSTRUCTION PROJECT SPORTS CENTER We are gigen task to design a sports center in university campus. Place has capicity to host 300 visitors. Volleybal, basketball saloon footbal , handball etc. can be played in this project. Whole consturction drawigns are done in this project such as site plan , roof plan , two floor plans , two sections , four views stair plan and section , wet floor plans and sections facade detail , roof connection detail suspended roof details.

/RESTORATION PROJECT HALIL MAVI HOUSE This report is about Halil Mavi Evi, which is one of the traditional houses in Karakaya district of Ayaş city of Ankara. The aim of the study is to prepare the survey of the building, to document the current state of the building, to determine the changes have been made, to determine the state of the building when it was first used and to offer a restoration suggestion by giving the building a function. At the beginning of the study, the urban fabric and surrounding buildings of Ayaş District were examined. Then, literature surveys and archival researches were made and the current status of the building was examined by obtaining the necessary information about the house. As a result of the information obtained, the restoration project proposal was presented considering the original state and original condition of the building. Halil Mavi House is a house that has the characteristics of Ayaş houses and has unique features with its facade qualities. Halil Mavi Evi is a building worth preserving with its location and architectural features. This study will serve as an example for the restoration of other historical buildings in the district.

ASIA As a result of the researches on the subject of “STATES OF GROUND”, Under the titles of ‘nature’ and ‘human’ in Asia, it is determined that the diversity of natural and human elements and these titles interact with each other. During the installation process, it was aimed to perform the Asian continent by focusing on these variations and effects and design decisions were made for this purpose. Then all this resarches and proccess are tronsformed into resarch book.Being in pandemic time model couldn’t be finished but book published. BOOK

Participants will play an active role in the installation process. Participants, who first entered the partially illuminated room, will throw the balloons filled with the paint created from the spices on their hands on the surface created with nails and the paints scattered from the exploding balloons will begin to shape the map. However, the effect of paints will not be perceived in this still dark room. In the second stage, participants will be asked to remove the surface buttons nails. The light filtered from the hole formed by the nail removed will only illuminate the area around the cavity and certain parts will begin to be perceived. This filtered light will not only shape its surroundings, but will reflect it on the opposite surface, and the map will begin to form on this surface in a different language. This map is used depending on the light source used, the distance of this source to the surface. Finally, after all the nails have been removed, the matte surface behind the map will fall and the transparent surface will be directly illuminated and the map consisting of colors and holes can be fully detected.
