The Teacher’s Manual provides an overview of the Move Write programme, including how to prepare for and implement the programme and how it can be incorporated into your daily planning.

The Manual includes:

• A step-by-step guide for the gross motor, fine motor, and visual perception activities

• A ‘session overview’ in an at-a-glance format

• Gross motor teaching notes with images and directions from the Copy Me Flipbook, Aistear and PE curriculum integration links and ideas for differentiation

• Fine motor teaching notes with images from fine motor activity cards. Key skills practised in each activity, equipment required are all outlined.

• How to best use the Visual Skills practice book

• Visual aids – images for flexible use and posters for display in the classroom

Our pupil book contains a page for each phoneme for children to recognise and practise.

This contains valuable information to support your phonemic awareness and phonics instruction.

Each page contains explicit instruction on how the sound is articulated along with a photograph to copy.

A mirror is contained within the pupil book for the children to observe their own mouth position. Information for parents is also included for each sound.

The flipbook is for teaching and focusing on a particular phoneme.

One side of the page is a large picture of a mouth which can be shown to the children, on the reverse side are instructions for the teacher.
