This coffee table book is a small glimpse of the beauty hidden in the bylanes of Sikkim;
an introductory document to the state, to be kept in the reception lounge of the
designed hotel.
The book is a brief study of the state's geographical, climatic, historical, cultural and
sociological aspects from a macroscopic and microscopic perspective.
The study is categorized into four segments, each looking at the context at a narrower
scale than its predecessor. The four segments, global, regional, local, and site contexts
are briefs for a visitor to understand the land. It is also an amalgamation of the
experiences of the seven authors namely, Arpita Sharma, Heer Patel, Nikita Nath,
Saylee Jain, Vedanshi Sarda, Yashvee Sheth, and Yug Shah. Our interpretations
and reflections of each segment have been captured as tearable postcards
for readers to take with them; a piece of our experiences and learnings.
