This women's swimwear collection, titled "Amara x Speedo" (Amara meaning "Internally Beautiful"), is a commercial collaboration with MAS Linea Aqua influenced by vintage Speedo styles from the 90s, Herve Leger’s bandage dress designs, and other complementary designers.
The lineup includes 3 standard-sized and 3 plus-sized swimwear designs, made from spandex and polymixed chiffon, with coveralls crafted from macramé.
The collection’s color palette and floral prints are inspired by Vincent Van Gogh’s floral paintings and symbolic flowers that reflect aspects of femininity:
Roses (love)
Snapdragons (graciousness)
Bluebells (care & warmth)
Lilies (honesty & innocence)
These motifs were hand-sketched and digitally developed.
The collection promotes body positivity, aiming to spread the message that all bodies are beautiful, perfect, and pure inside and out.
