Rick Bilgrien, general manager of Cadillac Calabasas, hosted the unveiling of a new 2026 Cadillac CELESTIQ at the dealership on April 1st. The proud new owner, Mitchell Bobrow, a legendary martial arts champion and founder of the Otomix brand of specialized footwear for bodybuilders, weightlifters, and martial artists, was on hand for the event.
Bobrow, an avid auto enthusiast and auto collector, says that he has always been a true devotee to the Cadillac brand and cherishes his 2004 Cadilac XLR Convertible but was lured away with the onset of other automotive brands offering luxury electric vehicles.
The fact that the Cadillac CELESTIQ is an ultra-luxury electric masterpiece weighed heavily on his decision to purchase the vehicle. The other lure was that he could be involved in selecting every component of the car since each CELESTIQ is hand-assembled to reflect each owner’s unique vision.

INAUGURAL CALABASAS OPEN HOSTED BY THE CALABASAS PICKLEBALL CLUB
The inaugural Calabasas Open took place on May 2–3 at the Calabasas Pickleball Club, drawing competitors for a highenergy weekend. Saturday featured Men’s and Women’s Doubles, while Sunday focused on Mixed Doubles across 3.0, 3.5, 4.0+, and Open divisions. The Open divisions competed for a total cash payout of $3,300, with top teams earning $500 for first place. Beyond the competition, players enjoyed a luxury atmosphere featuring premium brand activations, food, and music, solidifying the club’s reputation as the premier Los Angeles pickleball destination. The club is designed with members in mind and welcomes non-members to enjoy the elevated experience.

The Only One of Its Kind
For ten years, Parker Bolden’s Perpetually Devastated has built the world’s most coveted custom Airstreams at an 11-acre farm in Coquille, Oregon—one client, one object at a time.
The shop sits at the end of a gravel road between Bandon and Coquille at the top of a hill overlooking the Coquille River. There is no signage. There is no showroom. There is, on most days, exactly one Airstream in the building: a polished aluminum shell stripped to an empty structure, surrounded by the four people who will spend the next year turning it into something its eventual owner will not find a second version of—anywhere, ever.
Perpetually Devastated has been doing this for a decade. Each project is a yearlong endeavor from the first design conversation to the day the finished piece leaves the property. Bolden, the founder, runs the company with Negar Vali, design director, formerly of Yabu Pushelberg in Toronto. Vali also happens to be Bolden’s wife and his partner on the farm. Bolden also works with Jeffrey Ostercamp, shop manager and lead carpenter, and Lauren Criner, carpenter and technician. These four make up the entire company. There is no second team, no overflow shop. The pace is deliberate. The studio could build more. It chooses not to.
The rural setting is both aesthetic and disciplined. Bolden and Vali farm the 11 acres together, grow their own food, keep animals, and have no neighbors within view. The farm life is not in service of the work; it is the life. What the countryside cuts out is the noise—the distractions of a city, the static that costs other studios their best hours.
A year is a long time to spend on a single project. Half of the time is used for fabrication: thousands of hours of metalwork, millwork, and finishing. The other half is spent on design. Vali leads the discovery process. Her career prior to PD was spent in the rooms that set the standard for contemporary luxury— Aman Resorts, the Four Seasons, and The Ritz Carlton—and she brings that vocabulary to a category that has rarely, if ever, seen it. The process begins with site visits, conversations about how the client actually lives, and reference imagery pulled from places the client has been. From there, the studio specifies every surface the eye lands on and every surface the

hand touches, including hand-selected black walnut, teak, and sapele; solid stone—granite, marble, and onyx—sourced by the slab; brass and bronze chosen for weight and for the way the metal patinates over years; bespoke textiles, woven for the build; and commissioned artwork from artists the client will build a relationship with for the rest of their lives.
There are precedents for this kind of work. A Hermès Birkin is assigned to a single craftsman in the Pantin atelier outside Paris who builds the entire bag, start to finish. Pagani builds fewer than 40 cars a year in Modena, each one a yearlong collaboration between the studio and the client. Rolls-Royce’s Bespoke Collective at Goodwood spent two years on the Phantom Orchid, with a six-person team logging more than 200 hours on the dashboard alone. None of these makers publish prices. Robb Report covered Aston Martin’s one-off Victor in 2020 and noted only that the price was speculated to run into the seven figures. A Birkin Himalaya has crossed seven figures at Christie’s. The pattern is consistent. At a certain altitude, the number is not the story. The maker is
the story, the wait is the story, and the object is the story. PD operates on the same principle.

Pure Water Project

The Pure Water Project Las Virgenes–Triunfo Advanced Water Purification Facility (AWPF) hosted a groundbreaking ceremony on April 10th at 30800 Agoura Road in Agoura Hills to mark the start of construction on a state-of-the-art facility. The project is designed to create the supply of local, drought-resilient drinking water; eliminate discharge to Malibu Creek; and protect the watershed, bringing water full circle for our region. The Pure Water Project will produce up to 6 million gallons per day of high-quality drinking water, meeting approximately 20% to 30% of the region’s needs, reducing total reliance on imported water from Northern California. The project is anticipated to be fully operational by 2030.

Meet Autumn Calabrese, a midwestern girl who went from living paycheck to paycheck as a personal trainer to becoming a nationally recognized fitness and nutrition mogul, bestselling author, and the most viewed “Super Trainer” on the Beachbody On Demand platform with over 200 million views. Her career success and accomplishments are nothing short of amazing, especially when you consider that Autumn had to build it for herself. No one was standing behind her saying, “She’ll make it." The day Linda Kneidinger sent her book, Your Best Year Yet, to her editor, she believed she had just completed a powerful guide to resilience, discipline, and living with intention. The next day, she was told she likely had lung cancer.
In that moment, everything shifted.
Linda had built a life teaching others how to master their minds, overcome adversity, and push beyond limits. But as she faced a stage-one diagnosis, mindset was no longer theory; it was survival. “Sometimes the real issue isn’t that life is hard,” Linda says. “It’s that we’ve forgotten we are built to handle hard things.”
Two months after surgery, after losing one lobe of her lung, Linda ran a 5K race—not to prove something to the world but to reconnect with herself.
Running had always been a part of her life. A quiet, introspective space where body and mind worked together, where she could think, breathe, and process. But after her diagnosis, running became something deeper. Gratitude, presence, proof.
“Small discomforts become training grounds,” she says. “They remind you that we are okay. We can do hard things. We can adapt.”
For Linda, cancer didn’t break her. It revealed her. Sometimes the strongest people are not simply resilient; they are armored. And sometimes illness cracks that armor just enough for something softer and more honest to emerge. “I know when to push,” says Linda. “And I know when to give myself grace.” That balance became her compass. Some days, she pushed a little harder physically, mentally, and emotionally. Other days, she allowed herself to slow down, to rest, to feel.
“People think strength means always pushing,” Linda explains. “But sometimes strength is knowing when not to.”
Linda’s philosophy is rooted in something simple yet profound: choice. “There are two things I know,” she says. “One is that things happen to people. I’m not special. And the second is you always have a choice.” That choice, for Linda, was not to live in fear or uncertainty but to live fully, regardless of outcome.
Connection became everything. Time became sacred. Presence became nonnegotiable. “I don’t have time to sit and wallow,” says Linda. “Whether I have a week or 50 years, I want to spend it connecting with my family, my friends, the people who matter.”
Through it all, Linda remains open to sharing her story without shame, helping shift the narrative around lung cancer, especially among women who don’t fit the expected profile. And in doing so, she is not just a survivor but a guide. A reminder that resilience is not about perfection. It’s about awareness, intention, and learning when to push and when to give yourself grace. l

Hidden Hills Got Talent BRINGS DOWN THE HOUSE

The second annual Hidden Hills Got Talent event on May 2nd was a vibrant celebration of local skill and community spirit. The evening featured a diverse lineup of performers— singers, dancers, and musicians of all ages who showcased the immense talent in the area. Highlighting the creative energy of the Hidden Hills community, the show captivated attendees with its high production value and enthusiastic audience support. This year’s event was hosted by TJ Ramini and featured celebrity judges Tamyra Gray, Jake Steinfeld, and Jeffrey Schenck. In true Hidden Hills spirit, congratulations went to the top winners, Ariella Levitt and Dream Lewis. The adult winners were Tamika and Lorin as the 9 Inch Tails. The event was presented by the Hidden Hills Theatre Committee and served as a testament to the community's dedication to fostering local arts.

When Netflix drops all eight episodes of its highly anticipated reality series Calabasas Confidential on May 29th, the streaming universe will get an unfiltered look inside Southern California's most exclusive zip codes. While the rest of the streaming world tunes in for a glimpse of sun-soaked opulence, locals will be watching for an entirely different reason: to spot their own neighborhood hangouts, their children’s former high school classmates, and the unfiltered dynamics of our hyper-exclusive zip codes.
Produced by Wheelhouse’s Spoke Studios, Calabasas Confidential focuses on a tight-knit circle of 20-somethings returning to their parents' hillside mansions after spending four years away at college. The central narrative tension of the series relies on unresolved high school drama resurfacing over a single, volatile summer. Four years of university life may have provided temporary distance, but moving back into their parents' homes forces the cast to immediately confront old feuds, unexpected secrets, and messy romantic entanglements.
The 14-member cast represents an undeniable mix of celebrity lineage, prominent content creators, and local socialites. Local viewers will instantly recognize familiar family names stepping directly into the reality television spotlight.
The cast includes Preston Pippen, son of NBA legend Scottie Pippen and Real Housewives of
Miami star Larsa Pippen, who spent his teenage years playing basketball at Sierra Canyon High School in Chatsworth. Jodie Woods, an established fashion and beauty influencer and the younger sister of socialite Jordyn Woods, has long been prominent in the Calabasas and Hidden Hills social circles. Emma Medrano was born and raised in Calabasas and notes that her family lived in the area long "before the Kardashians" arrived. Raine Michaels, daughter of rockstar father Bret Michaels, spent her younger years in Vancouver and Arizona, but Raine and her family moved to Westlake Village in time for her high school years.
While Hercy Miller, an elite basketball player and the son of rap mogul Master P, went to high school and played basketball in Minnesota, his family relocated back to the high-end Los Angeles circuits. Nicole Sahebi and Suede Brooks are long-time fixtures of the broader Los Angeles digital creator scene and became fully integrated into the Calabasas social loop through their elite influencer circles .
Other cast members include Jemma Durrant, Dylan Wolf, Ben Favaedi, Alexie Olivo, Emilie Nelson, Kimora Lewis, and Sterling Retzlaff, who form the core local friend group who attended high school together in the immediate area before leaving for college. Their actual real-life childhood roots in the local area vary between lifelong natives and those who moved to the region later due to their families' high-profile status.
While previous legacy series have been shot in the greater 91302 area, most focused heavily on established matriarchs. Calabasas Confidential shifts the camera lens to a younger generation trying to define their adulthood against a very familiar backdrop.
Local viewers can expect to see their everyday environments elevated to prime-time aesthetics, where they will get an intimate look at the specific reality of growing up wealthy in the 91302 corridors. Much of the eight-part series was filmed at casual beach hangouts along the Malibu coastline, the great shops and restaurants at the Commons of Calabasas,
and the heavily guarded private streets where these multi-million-dollar estates are located.
Ultimately, the primary draw for our 91302 residents is the proximity of the stories. Calabasas Confidential offers a stylized mirror to the community's own backyard, capturing the unique pressures, privileges, and relationships that define the young adult experience inside these exclusive gates. ANNUAL EVENT HOSTED BY HIGHLAND HALL
Highland Hall Waldorf School welcomed families and community members from across the San Fernando Valley to its annual May Faire celebration. The festival opened with traditional maypole dances performed by grades one through four, accompanied by live music from the seventh grade. Guests of all ages enjoyed classic games, face painting, storytelling, crafts, flower-crown making, an immersive bubble experience, and freshly prepared natural foods and treats.
Live music from the Highland Hall parent band added to the festive atmosphere as families gathered to celebrate springtime, community connection, creativity, and outdoor play on the school’s campus.

The Hidden Hills Gymkhana Horse Show, held on March 22nd at the Spring Valley Arena, was a highlight of the Spring Gymkhana series. Riders demonstrated exceptional speed and precision across classic events such as barrels, poles, keyhole, and an egg toss game. The competition featured high-energy performances from various age divisions, showcasing the strong community spirit and horsemanship characteristics of the California Gymkhana Association. The event, sponsored by the Hidden Hills Equestrian Service Committee, provided a thrilling atmosphere for equine enthusiasts, with several riders recording personal best times in the fast-paced equestrian discipline.

Seussical The Musical
CALABASAS HIGH SCHOOL AWARD-WINNING PRODUCTION
Audiences experienced the whimsical world of Dr. Seuss when Calabasas High School Theater Program presented its 2026 spring production of Seussical. The high-energy musical extravaganza ran from March 17–21 at the Performing Arts Education Center, bringing beloved characters like Horton the Elephant and The Cat in the Hat to life. Led by director Bill Garrett, the production earned two prestigious Jerry Herman Awards for Best Ensemble or Chorus, recognizing the entire cast for their high-energy performances, and Best Costume Design, honoring the imaginative and whimsical outfits created for the Jungle of Nool and Whoville.

Official Recognition, at Last, After 115 Years!
It’s hard to imagine that what may be the most historically diverse neighborhood in California, Cornell—home to two movie ranches of major studios, a pre-Disneyland amusement park, and a thriving mineral springs spa that drew thousands of visitors every week—has never had official roadway entry signs. Today, a general store, post office, and one-room schoolhouse dating to the 1920s are all that remain standing.
Quiet little Cornell, surrounded by over 5,000 acres of state and national parkland—tucked in between Malibu, Westlake Village, Agoura Hills, and Calabasas—was founded in 1911 by resident Nathan Wise. Wise also served as the first mayor, postmaster, and deputy sheriff. Cornell received federal recognition the following year with the opening of the first post office in the area, a full 15 years before Agoura opened its first post office.
Cornell has appeared on official government maps since it was founded, but as Agoura grew from its proximity to a major transportation corridor, many folks in Cornell began using an Agoura mailing address even though the Cornell placename has always been accurate and accepted by the Postal Service.
Last fall, recognizing the approach of Cornell’s 115th anniversary the following year, community leaders sprang into action and opened a dialogue with L.A. County Public Works to have official State of California unincorporated community signs installed at all five of Cornell’s ingress points: one on each end of Kanan Road, two more on Mulholland Highway, and a fifth one on Cornell Road. The community owes great thanks to the Public Works yard in Cornell, including Supervisor Maurice Blackwell and his staff, Eddie Mejia, Ron Taggart, and Erin Brand, as well as Rafael Maldonado, Shawn Wade, and Lukas Bradley at Public Works headquarters for their kind assistance with getting the signs installed.
Cornell community leaders are thrilled with the new additions. “The installation of Cornell’s new roadway signs is perfectly timed with our 115th anniversary,” says 40-year resident Rae Greulich. “The signs offer a meaningful way to share our history with fellow residents and recognize Cornell as the historic name given to this wonderful community in 1911—a chance to proudly affirm who we are: Cornell.” Malibou Lake past-president Shannon Ggem adds, “Unincorporated villages like Cornell predate the cities around us and now house a diverse population of nature-loving California citizens. Cornell deserves to be cherished and protected for many more centuries. We are proud to be inside its bounds.”
The Cornell schoolhouse opened in 1926, serving grades 1–8. Today, it is a private residence.
Hank’s Country Store, now the Old Place restaurant, was founded in the early 1940s.
The Rock Store began as a country store and post office in the 1920s and is now a global biker mecca.
On April 21st, the Los Angeles County Department of Public Works installed Cornell’s first entry signs at all five ingress points, including this one on Mulholland Highway, west of Las Virgenes Road.
The Cornell place name began here in 1911 with their first post office and store, an 8x8-foot wood shack.

The Cornell township being named after Cornell University in upstate New York was confirmed in a 1913 Los Angeles Times article, but the mystery of “why?” has persisted for over 100 years. Agoura Hills resident Danica Lee, now a history major at Cornell, has been digging deep into the school’s archives trying to find an answer to that question. No luck yet, but the hunt continues.
Cornell conservation activist Steve Hess shares some personal insights on what makes the place special. “32 years ago, my family arrived in Cornell, and we never left,” he says. “Our kids grew up on horseback and on mountain bikes, riding trails most don't know exist, surrounded by neighbors and small-business owners who became lifelong friends. It's a rare thing to live rural inside L.A. County and rarer still to keep it that way against constant pressure to pave it over—a fight I've been proud to be part of, again and again.”
When you consider all the extraordinary history of a place with few streetlights and no sidewalks, that is zoned equestrian and yet a short drive to the Los Angeles city boundary, it’s easy to see why Cornell residents protect it so and feel this recognition is long overdue.

CELEBRATED BY THE CITY OF CALABASAS
The City of Calabasas celebrated its 26th annual Arbor Day on March 21st at Gates Canyon Park. The free community event focused on expanding the city’s urban forest and preserving its natural beauty. Residents joined city officials, community partners, and volunteers for interactive tree-planting sessions aimed at fostering environmental stewardship. As a recognized Tree City USA, Calabasas used this gathering to engage local youth and families in hands-on conservation. The event successfully added new growth to the area, ensuring a greener future for the community.
