Evacuation Exercise - A Success!
Last week on Friday, January 27, designated volunteers from our Firewise Committee and select CSA board representatives, along with members from the Brevard County Sheriff Office and Brevard County Fire and Rescue, participated in a wildfire emergency scenario and evacuation exercise. The TGO Courtesy Patrol was also in attendance to make sure they have a complete understanding of how the emergency traffic plan will be implemented. The map on page 22 provides the evacuation routes for each neighborhood. The proposed scenario, along with photos from the event, can be found on page 20.
Eirinn Abu & Pedro Alfonso Concert at TGO Church
This Sunday, February 5 at 6:00 pm: Eirinn Abu, a dynamic soprano saxophone recording artist, and international violinist Pedro Alfonso, a brilliant solo recording artist and multi-talented musician, join forces for a scintillating performance. Peers have called Eirinn a “Josh Groban-Andrea Bocelli” instrumental version. Both artists have recorded with such great pop artists as Gloria Estefan, Jennifer Lopez, Shakira, Ricky Martin, and Jon Secada. Come join us for this free concert. A free will offering will be collected.
Valentine’s Cupid Classic Golf Tournament - February 13
If you’re a golfer and like mimosas, this is the tournament for you. Pair up with your favorite golfer and enter the Monday, February 13, two person Cupid Golf Classic. There are flights for two gals, two guys and a guy & gal. Play either 9 or 18 holes. It will be a 8:45am Shotgun Start. The $30 entry fee includes a prize fund and lunch in the Manor afterwards. You can sign up for the event at the TGO Pro Golf Shop. For more details, see page 29 of this issue.
