Lancaster Auction Mart: Weekly Sale of Prime Lambs & Cast Sheep. Early Sale of Breeding Rams, Ewes & Shearlings, Monday 27th July 2026. PRIME LAMBS Lancasters weekly sale of prime lambs saw a pleasing number of 650 through the ring with an average of 363ppk, well in line with other centres at the end of last week and ahead of other early Monday markets. Despite lambs being a touch easier this morning, there was plenty of well bred and fed lambs over the £200 and 450ppk mark. Lambs 4045kg best to sell, with D & K Swarbrick, Out Rawcli e selling to 512ppk and £220 and R & DL Cornthwaite, Nateby selling to 512ppk and £210 for Texels. Other Texels from D & K Swarbrick to 484ppk and £210. 46kg lambs topped at £214 from WA & LM Jenkinson, Stalmine with J Twigge, Grange Over Sands at £210. Heavy weight lambs very much in demand with GR & A Foy, Conder Green with Texels to £222. Lighter weight lambs providing they had plenty of cover on getting away nicely to £188 or 470ppk from DR Preston, Caton. More lambs required for next week. Any enquiries to Andrew on 07966 556592.
