No lots can leave the Market without a ‘pass slip’ being issued by the Main Office .

Purchasers have two working days from time of sale to satisfy themselves that all documentation received is correct and any discrepancies must be notified to the auctioneers within that time limit.

All purchases must be settled on the day of purchase and prior to the clearance of any stock.

New customers and or agents wishing to purchase on behalf of another party, must contact the NWA offices at least 48 hours prior to sale, to provide full details and references for authorisation.

For accounts in default Interest will be charged from date of purchase at 8% over Lloyds Bank base rate at the time. Purchases shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the law in England ACCEPTED FORMS

Dispersal Sale of DAIRY CATTLE

On behalf of DW & EA COTTAM, HAGG FARM

North West Auctions are delighted to have been given instruction to conduct a dairy herd dispersal on behalf of DW& EA Cottam, Hagg Farm following their decision to retire from milk production. The cattle will be moved to J36 Rural Auction Centre for convenience of sale.

The herd has been managed extremely well by Dennis & Liz, based on very strong, well bodied Holstein Friesian genetics. The herd is grazed day and night for as long as the season allows with a grass silage diet through the winter with concentrate offered in the parlour.

This herd has been closed for 30 plus years with a focus on breeding well balanced cows many proven top quality AI sires have been used to include:

· Glamour Achieve

· Stantons Adorable

· Mr Rubicon Dynamo

· Westcoast Almamater

· Rosylane LLC Spock

· Rubicon

· All cows are cubicle trained

· The herd is TB4, last tested January 2025

· The herd is Johnes Monitored with a sample 50% of cows all testing low

· The farm is Red Tractor Farm Assured

· Dry cows all treated with Orbenin Dry Cow tubes

· Latest bulk tank sample: Fat 4.63, Protein 3.52 & SCC 88

Attendance at this sale is highly recommended with a closed herd of extremely genuine cows, suitable for many systems.
