Saturday 11th October 2025 Sale to commence at 10am Poultry available to view in the Livestock Hall and the sale held in Ring 2. ALL PROSPECTIVE PURCHASERS MUST REGISTER FOR A BIDDERS NUMBER IN THE OFFICE, PRIOR TO THE SALE. TERMS OF SALE: - There will be an upset price of £10 on each lot. - Poultry will be sold per bird, not by cage. (ie. Cage 1 - 3 Pullets @ £15 = £45) - Birds in cages cannot be split. - No VAT on birds. - Payment on the day of sale. - No Cash Payments accepted. - Card charges: Business Debit cards (1%), Business Credit Card (2%). - Personal Credit Cards not accepted. - All birds must be cleared from the market by 1pm on the day of sale. - All purchasers must obtain a receipted ‘Pass Out’, which is obtainable from the main office upon se lement of their account. If you’re keeping fewer than 50 birds, you can register via APHA. In that registra on process, APHA will issue you a CPH number, so you do not need to apply separately for one. If you’re keeping 50 or more birds, you must already have — or apply for — a CPH number (then register using that number). Aligned guidance states: “If you have fewer than 50 birds … you do not need a Holding (CPH) Number. Simply go to the GOV.UK website to register.”
