J36 Rural Auction Centre: September Online Machinery Sale. The popular sale of machinery saw keen interest in well maintained and seasoned items. The sale saw a top price of £10400 for a Land Rover Defender 90 direct from a local farm. Tractors sold to £6400 for a Massey Ferguson 699 4WD. A Same 95 4WD achieving £6100, and a Marshall 602 2WD selling at £3400. Other items of interest included a Kuhn Bale Wrapper achieving £4500, a Yanmar Mini Digger making £3900, a High Tip Bucket at £2900, Amazone Fert Spreader which made £2250. A Redrock slurry tanker achieved £2200, a Pasture Topper at £1550, a Post Knocker at £1500, a Towable Compressor at £1250, and an Ifor Williams trailer made £1200. Lancaster Auction Mart: Weekly Sale of Prime Lambs and Cast Sheep, Monday 28th August 2023. Prime Lambs All well finished and meated lambs achieving maximum prices this morning at Lancaster Mart, with under finished lambs hard to place. The sale peaked at £144 for a tremendous Beltex lamb from D&K Swarbrick, Out Rawcliffe with Texel lambs selling to £138 from JS Horner, Ingleton. Many pens of well bred heavy lambs were regularly selling at £130 plus, with medium type well finished Continental bred lambs selling at £108 to £112. Suffolk lambs saw a top of £120 from JS Horner, Ingleton. A ring full of Masham lambs sold to £104.50 from S&J France, Over Wyresdale. An overall market average of 245p/kg was achieved for 500 lambs sold.
