ABOUT US

Three Thirty-Three Arts (333Arts) is a community-driven 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to fostering inclusivity, collaboration, and accessibility in the arts. Through public engagement, artist empowerment, and cultural expression, we provide vital resources for emerging and underrepresented artists in the Bay Area, currently focusing on East Contra Costa County but also serving and working in other Bay Area counties.

By leveraging the power of art we build bridges between diverse communities, creating lasting impact through public art installations and performances, artist residencies, and community-driven cultural initiatives.

POPULATIONS SERVED

We create positive and welcoming environments where all are encouraged. From the start, we have prioritized underserved communities and undiscovered talent providing them with equal opportunities and experiences typically found in more affluent areas.

Contra Costa County is the least funded county for the arts in the San Francisco Bay Area, particularly East Contra Costa County. Our organization continues to fill this gap through targeted approaches that effectively uplift and benefit each community we serve.

Approximately 70% of our participants are women between 18-30 years of age.

OUR MISSION IN ACTION

At the heart of our work, Three Thirty-Three Arts (333Arts) has a deep commitment to supporting and elevating the diverse voices and talents of Bay Area artists. We believe that by investing in the region's creative potential, we unlock new possibilities and inspire meaningful social engagement.

OUR IMPACT: CASE STUDIES

The Brenden Mann Foundation has worked with 333Arts on significant public art projects across 3 cities located in 3 different Northern CA counties. This program has allowed artists to have regular commissioned work, providing essential income and artistic exposure. The partnership has also provided 333Arts with financial support for regular programming expenses, thus creating more opportunities for artists and community projects.

income and contribute to their community, while others are aspiring professional artists wanting to learn how to level up their experience. Our program has allowed for bringing these artists together as a group, working and learning together, all the while providing beautiful art for the public to enjoy.

As the gateway into Oakland’s Koreatown Northgate District, this jaw dropping mural on a parking structure has completely changed the setting and has become a landmark mural. One of multiple collaborations between 333Arts and The Kaiser Foundation, the mural is a striking symbol of the KONO District’s cultural diversity and home of the district that famously hosts Oakland’s First Friday events.

Collaborating with schools and youth has been a core tenant of our mission. Schools are often inquiring with us about arts activities involving student participation. The image above is a project completed in 2024 with students assisting on the installation of a mural for a newly installed garden shed on school grounds. The students provided design inspiration and worked alongside our artists to complete the artwork.

Blossoming Collaborations

Spring 2025 welcomed new collaborations at Heather Farm Park between 333Arts, The Gardens at Heather Farm, and The Equestrian Center of Walnut Creek. The Gardens partnered with our organization to beautify the entrance to their parking lot with a mural on the utility box as well as help them curate for their Spring artist-in-residence program. Artist Carmynn Zhang was selected for both projects. She created eye-catching artwork for the utility box that greets thousands of visitors every year to the gardens, and her show for the artist-in-residence program was a wonderful success.

When the Director of The Gardens asked if we might know an artist who could carve an old tree stump into something unique, we said ā€œYes, we indeed do!ā€. Enter on the scene artist Oscar Flores from right down the road in Concord. We knew Oscar loved woodcarving and wanted an opportunity to showcase his work through public art, so we made it happen. Check out the progress below. You can see just how much work he has put into this challenge.

Down the trail from The Gardens, The Equestrian Center holds multiple horse shows and training sessions each year. Their snack shack has been targeted by gra only vandalism in the tranquil space, but an increased expense for the all-volunteer nonpro equestrian organization to repair. The founders of 333Arts walk past this site daily and wanted to help, so they contacted The Equestrian Center to offer a mural. 333Arts selected artist Alyssa Minko for the job. Alyssa creates beautiful landscape artworks on canvas and our organization knew this would be the perfect opportunity for her to create her Equestrian Center, and community donations, the mural will cover all four sides of the building and is planned to be completed by Fall 2025.
