From my past year on the fcm course, I most enjoyed photoshoots and having that control of me being the creative director of my own shoot. From the ideas, to planning, to the results- concept to market. I enjoy being in control and bringing my own visions to life.
When looking for a placement, I knew this was something i wanted to explore.

I emailed some smaller businesses like Gypsabella and Caramella who direct their own shoots.
That was when i found OSO Content Studio, a company offering studio space for photoshoots, podcasts, a hair and makeup station, and much more.
I have been working closely with creative director Grace Adams Short, assisting her on shoot days and making creative content for OSO and many other brands.
When starting my placement, i was tasked with creating moodboards for OSO and other brands that Grace works with for their social media pages.
This gave me chance to explore each brand and get a feel for the companies and people I would be working with over the next coming months.
Grace gave me some inspo for the types of moodboards and layouts she wanted me to create, and so I got to work...
These moodboards and other content posts created by me, have been featured on each brands Instagram pages.
BOUTIQUE BRIDES
These moodboards were created for a bridal shoot at OSO Content Studio for Boutique Birdes of Crosby, as well as the Say It With bridal collection.
The theme was rustic, Italian, old-money wedding. I really enjoyed making these as I had full creative control and loved how the vision came to life!
29th August 2025
My first day at OSO was a photoshoot for the launch of The SKO Collection lashes.
I arrived at 8am to help set up and take behind the scenes of the models getting prepared to start shooting at 10am. I took behind the scenes during the shoot alongside content creator @insidethelens__
On this shoot, I got to work with models and influencers like Miss Supranational UK, Brittany Feeney, and very talented hair and makeup artists.
As all first days are very daunting, and I was quite nervous first going in, being in this environment for the first time and being around like-minded people made me enjoy it even more and it was easy to get comfortable quickly.
The shoot finished around 12pm and I carried on working at home, creating content and reels for SKO, which can be seen on my Instagram page @ellenm_creative
September 2025
This wedding shoot for Boutique Brides has been one of my favourites so far!
Seeing the studio set up in such a different way to fit the shoot was so exciting and to be apart of it was really enjoyable. This shoot was also to showcase Say It With bridal jewellery collection, so it was also exciting to work with the movers and shakers from SIW.
I was given alot more creative freedom on this shoot to create content that I wanted and felt alot more comfortable being the creative director for my own content and having the models bring my own visions to life.
I arrived at the studio at 9am whilst all models were in hair and makeup and the shoot finished around 12pm. I stayed to help Grace set up for the next days photoshoot and left at 1pm to come home and put all of the clips into some reels for socials.
My reels for this shoot can be seen on my own and Grace’s Instagram, however some are unable to be posted as of yet due to a wedding dress yet to be released!
2nd September 2025
I had the exciting opportunity to work with Heat Magazine!
Although not being a very big part of the shoot, working with stylists, creative directors and interviewers from Heat Magazine was such an experience.
I arrived at 10am, alongside content creator @insidethelens__, capturing behind the scenes and staying out of the way of the professionals!
Due to this not being an in house shoot where Grace would usually be in control, myself and Georgia didn’t intervene as much.
It was also really exciting to be working with Grace’s husband and children.
We finished around 2pm and I continued working at home creating some content from the shoot, unable to be posted until the press release of this article.
5th September 2025
Today we were shooting for the launch of activewear brand, Alpha Female.
I really enjoyed working on this shoot and with the owners of the brand. The story behind Alpha Female is so empowering and positive for women, and embracing being an alpha female!
On this shoot i created BTS content for Alpha Female, and a BTS post for GAS Management.
I arrived at the studio at 9am, the shoot started at 10am and wrapped up around 12pm. I continued my work at the studio, editing videos and preparing for our next shoot that day at 4pm, with a very special guest...
5th September 2025
We had a photoshoot with a spider!
This shoot was for the launch of The SKO Collection launch of the ‘FIERCE’ lash.
The spider arrived at 4pm and we had 1 hour to get the best shots, I took behind the scenes content for this shoot and seperate content for a day in the life for Grace’s own brand GAS Management.
6th September 2025
We had an exciting shoot for Say It With jewellery collection inspired by the MTV Awards and Brittany Spears ‘Slave For You’ music video.
On this shoot, I got to work with popular social media influencer Molly Krenz and a real python!
I created multiple content videos for this shoot and one was featured on the Say It With Instagram story.
6th September 2025
We took full advantage of having Molly Krenz at the studio today and created some more content for OSO, SIW and SKO.
I am really happy that I am given these exciting opportunities to work on these shoots with animals, influencers and a talented team.
We began the day at 9am and finished around 2pm and I continued my work at home creating content.
7th September 2025
Today we shot with sustainable childrenswear brand SVANTE Natural Movement.
I arrived at 9am to help set up the studio and captured some lifestyle social content.
The shoot began and I started to take some behind the scenes content for SVANTE and GAS Management to create some reels.
This was probably one of the most hectic days at OSO with models arriving at different times, from 10am to 2pm.
We shot everything we needed with the models at the studio and some extra content with those that arrived later so it was an easy problem to solve and we were able to make do with what we had.
We wrapped up around 3pm and I continued my work at home creating content from the day.
11th September 2025
Today we had a second shoot for FIA Yoga with social media influencer Erin Doran, who is now Fia’s brand ambassador!
I arrived at 9am to capture some social media content for Say It With, KK Designs and FIA Yoga, like the flat lay image below.
I then began to take bts of Erin preparing for the shoot in hair and makeup and we began at 11am.
I captured content throughout the day for OSO, FIA and GAS Management and finished around 2pm. I then continued my work at home creating content for each brand.
14th September 2025
I was given the opportunity to attend the FIA Yoga Wellness and Retreat morning for their new launch.
I arrived at 10am to help FIA owner Kayleigh set up for this exciting day and guests began to arrive at 11am.
Their were snacks, gift bags and exclusive access to the unreleased collection. Attendees were able to participate in a yoga class and cold plunge.
There was also a pop-up stall for The SKO Collection lashes available for guests to buy below retail price.
I took lots of content throughout the day and created multiple reels social media, and was able to take part in the yoga class.
There were many other business owners who attended, which opens up lots of job opportunities for me in the future aswell. The event finished at 2pm.
25th September 2025
Today was my first location shoot at OSO. I arrived at the studio at 9am to help set up and capture behind the scenes content of Hannah preparing for the shoot ahead.
I got to work with social media influencer and FashionNova brand ambassador Hannah Olivia Kenyon.
The shoot started at 10am, we headed to Sefton Park for the outdoor shoot at 12pm and wrapped up around 1pm.
I really enjoyed this shoot as it was good to experience it being outside of the Studio, and sharing these experiences with influencers like Hannah grows my connections further.
