SPRINGTIME IN TUXEDO
By Randy St. John, CCM, CCE, General Manager/COO
Spring has arrived in Tuxedo Park - and so has a season full of things to look forward to Whether you're dusting off your racquet, planning your first round on the course, or simply looking forward to a meal on the Lakeside Terrace, we're ready for you.
Main Clubhouse Refresh
Those of you who joined us over Easter got an early peek at the interior refresh underway in the Main Clubhouse The foyer is complete and makes a beautiful first impression - we think you'll love it The Members’ Dining Room is close behind; we're waiting on the final furniture pieces and will host a proper reception to celebrate the full reveal once everything is in place. In the meantime, Main Club dining returns to the Lakeside Terrace with a pop-up dinner on Saturday, May 16tha pretty great consolation Please be on the lookout for details
On the Course
The golf course is in great shape and fully open. The winter tree trimming program has made a real difference, opening up vistas throughout the course that improve both playability and the view Casey and his team will be running turf maintenance practices through April - expect a bit of disruption in the short term, but it's all in service of the best possible surfaces when the summer heat arrives
WELCOME
SPRINGTIME IN TUXEDO CONT’D
On the Courts
The racquet sports season is getting underway Tim and his team are working on the Har-Tru lawn tennis courts nowanyone who's prepped a clay court knows it requires equal parts science and patience (and a little help from Mother Nature) - and courts will open in stages as conditions allow Padel continues to be one of the most talked-about additions to the Club and court time is going fast - a reminder to book your courts online
On the Water
Tuxedo Lake is calling. Boating and fishing season is upon us, and whether you're planning a peaceful morning rowing on or some friendly competition for the biggest catch, there's no better backdrop than ours Full details on season start dates, boat registration, fishing rules, and lake access are available in our Boathouse book.

A MESSAGE FROM THE CLUBHOUSE
By Assistant General Manager Dan Britts, CCM & Clubhouse Manager Alexia Heuer
Spring has arrived – and what a season it’s been so far
The Golf Clubhouse came alive for an unforgettable evening as members gathered for our February Cheese & Wine Tasting with experts Ricky Switzer and Adrian Chalk With every pairing more impressive than the last, the event was a masterclass in why wine and cheese remain one of life’s great pleasures.
In February, the 122 Gold Racquets Weekend did not disappoint The competition was tough – arguably the strongest singles field the tournament has even seen –making for incredible viewing from first serve to final point. At the Saturday Night Black Tie Gala, the Great Family Artists took the stage and had every member on their feet, dancing the night away in true Gold Racquets fashion nd
Easter weekend was nothing short of magical Over 1,700 eggs blanketed the Lakeside Lawn for our beloved Easter Egg Hunt, and a special congratulations goes to Lily Garbett for her winning guess in the Jelly Bean contest. Despite the absence of the Dining Room, Easter Brunch was successful – expanded seating brought an incredible turnout, and Chef Arnold delivered yet again with a spread as delicious and as thoughtful as ever

122ND GOLD RACQUETS
By Tim Chisholm, Director of Racquets
The 2026 Gold Racquets Court Tennis singles draw was arguably the strongest and deepest field of players in decades Half of the field had handicaps less than 15; and (2) additional players represented the US on the 2025 Clothier & Van Alan Cup teams
The semi-finals saw rematches of the last (2) Gold Racquets Finals; and the crowd was treated to entertaining three set matches in both halves of the draw Oliver Pridmore, after a slow start and excellent play by Erik Barker, was able to settle into the match and move on the Final Noah Motz and Freddie Bristowe provided the Tuxedo crowd with an entertaining and well played Final two years ago, with Freddie prevailing in 4 sets Motz came into the 2026 semi-final with a few more weapons in his arsenal; and after Bristowe took the first set easily; the two players showed why they are two of the best young players in the game with two 6/5 sets won by Motz. Motz vs Pridmore looked like a classic; with the crowd finding it hard to decide on who to cheer for, as these two young players are two of the nicest guys in the game Motz fought back from an early deficit in the first set to take it 6/5, won the second set easily and was rolling 4/0 up in the third when Pridmore dug deep and fought back to take a 5/4 lead
Motz’s offense over the next two games proved to be the difference as he rallied and is a very deserving Gold Racquets Champion winning 6/5 6/1 6/5
122ND GOLD RACQUETS
The future of the game is looking very bright if the 2026 Gold Racquets is any indication.
The Cuspidor Doubles had 62 players competing for 24 spots in three semi-final flights, with matches starting bright and early each day and going until the early hours of the morning.
Flight Champions are as follows:
Bostwick Flight: Alice Devereux & Lindsay Maxwell
Ronaldson Flight: Chris Heffernan & Paul Nieuwerburgh
Fahey Flight: Paul Brooke & Matthew Ezersky

COURSE UPDATE GOLF
By Casey Klossner, Director of Agronomy
Warmer weather is upon us! After over 60 inches of snow during the offseason, the golf course is breaking winter dormancy and trees are beginning to show signs of leaves, which tells us the golf season is here!
Over the winter, Davey Arborists completed a large-scale tree project on holes 1 through 18, the entrance road, parking lot, and Paddle area. The majority of the work performed was pruning and raising tree canopies to improve playability, air movement, and aesthetics Dead or dying trees that were becoming safety hazards were removed, stumps ground and holes backfilled and grassed over Having spoken to many members this spring, we can confirm that feedback has been excellent on the project
45 days of continuous snow cover on the course paused many offseason projects, but since the snow melted, we are full steam ahead. The putting greens are still breaking dormancy and a few areas are a little slow to get growing on holes 3, 11, and 16 Our staff has already seeded these areas and we expect recovery to be swift over the next couple of weeks Hole locations will continue to be placed away from these areas to expedite their recovery All other playing surfaces came out of the winter in excellent condition, and we look forward to seeing their performance this season
Additionally, it is our pleasure to announce that all course aeration has been completed on tees, approaches and fairways
A big thank you to our team for long days of labor-intensive work, all while completing projects and routine mowing on the golf course over the last few weeks
Excitement is building in our department, and we look forward to seeing you all on the golf course for a great 2026 season!
