Our Concern
He and his family made the long journey of over 20 days across the ocean from United States to Taiwan in 1959, to practice medicine and spread God's love for 40 years. Dr. Noordhoff has served as superintendent of both the Mackay Memorial Hospital and the Chang Gung Memorial Hospital, playing an instrumental role in establishing a system for development of medicine for all of Taiwan and establishing many milestones along the way, such as the first polio rehabilitation center, the first burn center, the first intensive care unit and the first craniofacial center.

Those who have congenital craniofacial deformities are often faced with particular problems such as appearance, abnormal speech, hearing disabilities or psycho-social maladjustment. It requires an integrated team of specialists to help these patients become well adjusted persons.
