WEIGHT PER DAY OF AGE (W.P.D.A.) All weights at the end of test are used to calculate the bull’s weight per day of age. It covers the entire gaining period to date (on the cow and on the feed). AVERAGE DAILY GAIN (A.D.G) After a 30 day warm-up period, bulls are put on test to measure their A.D.G. for the next 120 days. LONG YEARLING S.C. Actual scrotal measurements were taken October 15, 2026 by Didsbury Vet Services. All bulls were semen tested and meet industry standards based on breed and age. HORNED-SCURRED-POLLED • Horned: Horn growth affixed to the skull that has or has not been removed. • Polled: Rudimentary horn growth that will not develop into a horn. Scurs are the result of an independent gene unrelated to either the horned or polled gene. • Scurred: Absence of horn growth. (An animal can have scurs and still be genetically polled.)

ESTIMATED SALE WEIGHT Actual weights were taken in October 2026.
DISPOSITION SCORING SYSTEM 1 TO 4 1. These bulls have been eliminated from the program. They are not easily handled. 2. Harder to handle, with a wide flight zone. These bulls will get worked up very easily when alone or under pressure. 3. Most of the bulls fit into this score. 3’s are very easy to handle but will move off pressure with ease. 4. These bulls are extremely quiet and will take a lot of pressure. CALVING EASE Calving ease is one of the biggest concerns to most bull buyers and most often related to the birth weight of a bull. However, there are many other factors that are influences like nutrition and gestation. Our ratings are based on all of the information we have available. EEE
YEARLING WEIGHT (YW) All weights are taken at the end of test and adjusted to 365 days, again to let you easily compare the bulls.
BOVILIS NASALGEN MULTIMIN 90
Should produce minimal calving problems when bred to moderate sized, first calf heifers.
EE
WEANING WEIGHT (WW) All weights are taken at weaning and adjusted to 205 days to allow you to compare the bulls on an even playing field.

WFL herd bull GUARANTEE We expect our bulls to go to work—and we stand behind them when they do.
Every WFL bull is developed with one purpose in mind: TO GO OUT, BREED COWS AND WORK FOR OUR CUSTOMERS. Our sale bulls are evaluated for fertility, structural soundness and breeding ability before they are offered for sale. We want you to be confident that the bull you take home is ready to do the job he was purchased to do. We also understand that cattle are cattle, and sometimes things simply don’t work out as expected. If you have a concern with your WFL bull, call us first and call us early. Give us the opportunity to understand the situation and work with you toward a fair, practical solution. If a bull fails to perform, as a satisfactory breeder, we will work with the customer to provide an appropriate and creditable solution. Our priority during breeding season is simple: Keep your cows getting bred and keep your program moving forward. We aren’t interested in giving customers the runaround. We believe in looking after the people who invest in our genetics and building relationships that last well beyond sale day. You bought the bull from us. You deal directly with us. And we stand behind what we sell. The seller’s maximum liability will not exceed the original purchase price of the bull. Guarantee claims may require a veterinary examination. Injury, neglect or mismanagement are not considered breeding failures under this guarantee.

On behalf of the Hadway Family and our Westway Crew we Welcome you to our 1st Annual Bull and Female Sale with Soderglen South. Westway Farms is family owned and operated and we are very excited to work together with Soderglen South. Westway Farms has long admired the Soderglen Program and in the Fall of 2023 we were able to purchase Soderglen’s winter calving cow/calf pairs from the dispersal of the Soderglen herd. This partnership has provided a tremendous opportunity for us to complement each of our programs and work with an exclusive co-operator herd. This partnership is also a great fit because of the high demand from our bull customers to include long yearling bulls in our sale. Together we can supply cattle producers with long yearling bulls that are backed with the very best of two operations that focus on quality, performance, proven genetics and customer service. We will continue to have a yearling Bull Sale at the farm in Didsbury and it is set for March 1, 2027. The cattle market has been exceptionally strong in both the calf market and replacement heifer market so finding the right bull to move your program forward to meet these needs is important. We are not breeding cattle to make something that is popular, we are doing everything we can to make the right cattle with the commercial cattle producer in mind. The bulls in this sale have been developed with an emphasis on
8
fertility, structural integrity, performance and disposition - all traits that will pay in today’s market and into the future. We invite you to review the offering and if it works to stop by the farm prior to November 24th and walk through the bull pen and evaluate the bulls in their familiar surroundings and see which bull might be best suited for your program. If you are unable to view the bulls, attend the sale or even bid online and wish to have someone bid for you, we ask you to contact one of the Westway Farms contacts and they will assist you. Westway Farms is very much a family operation and Tom and Carol feel very blessed to have their four children, along with their spouses, help us operate our business. The “next generation” has worked hard to expand the Westway cattle program. They have incorporated new Angus and Simmental genetics that are working in both the cow herd and feedyard. As parents, we are thrilled to have Scott and Elan as mentors for our young people and we are certainly excited for what this partnership can provide for our cattle customers. We look forward to catching up with you all on Friday, November 27th!!

Scott & Elan Lees Become Westway’s Exclusive Co-operator Herd
Westway Farms is proud to announce that Soderglen South, owned and operated by Scott and Elan Lees, has become Westway’s exclusive co-operator herd. This partnership brings together two established seedstock operations and more than 60 years of combined seedstock experience, built around a common philosophy: produce functional, productive cattle that work for commercial cattlemen. Scott and Elan bring generations of cattle knowledge, a strong cow herd and a proven commitment to the beef industry. Combined with Westway’s breeding program and genetics,
the partnership creates an opportunity to expand our offering while maintaining the quality, consistency and accountability our customers expect. As Westway’s exclusive co-operator herd, Soderglen South will work closely with Westway on breeding decisions, genetic selection and the development of bulls for our customers. The cattle will be developed with the same goals in mind — soundness, fertility, performance, maternal strength and longevity. For our customers, this partnership means greater numbers and more selection without compromising the standards behind the Westway program. It also gives us the ability to offer a larger, more consistent group of long yearling bulls developed specifically for the needs of commercial cattle producers. The relationship between Westway and Soderglen South is about more than increasing numbers. It is about combining experience, resources and proven cow families to build something stronger for the future. We are excited about what this partnership means for Westway, Soderglen South and, most importantly, the cattle producers we serve.

Soderglen South owns and manages a 1,000-head summer cow herd, made up primarily of Angus-based females and MAX genetics. At the heart of the operation is a commitment to good cattle, good people and building a cow herd that performs under practical ranch conditions. Scott and Elan Lees have spent their lives in the cattle business, and that experience has shaped the philosophy behind Soderglen South. The focus has always been on raising functional, productive cattle with the traits that matter to commercial cattlemen — fertility, soundness, performance, maternal ability, disposition and longevity. A successful cattle operation is only as strong as the people behind it, and Soderglen South is fortunate to have an experienced and dedicated team. Roger has been with us for 19 years, Jeff for 13 years and Brendan for 2 years. Maggie also started work us part time last year and works on cattle records, administration and anything we need her for, she is in. Their commitment, knowledge, and hard work are a big part of the operation’s success. We are proud of the team we have built and the experience they bring to the ranch every day. For us, Soderglen South is about more than raising cattle. It is about family, people, relationships and a lifelong commitment to the cattle industry. We believe in continually improving our herd, standing behind the cattle we produce and working with people who share the same passion for agriculture. We are proud of where Soderglen South has come from, proud of the people who make it possible, and excited about where we are headed.

THE MAX P RO G R A M M AT E R N A L
A N G U S
At Soderglen South, the cow herd is where everything starts. Scott and Elan Lees own and manage a summer cow herd of approximately 1,000 females, made up predominantly of Angus-based cattle carrying MAX genetics. That kind of cow herd provides something that can’t be created on paper — the opportunity to evaluate genetics year after year, under real ranch conditions and on a meaningful scale. The MAX program is a maternal Angus cross built around the female. The objective is simple: produce moderate, productive cows that are fertile, sound, easy doing and capable of raising a good calf every year. Females need good udders, good feet, disposition and the ability to maintain themselves and breed back without being pampered. At Soderglen South, those traits aren’t theories. They are tested every day. Managing 1,000 cows quickly identifies which genetics work and which ones don’t. Cows have to earn their place in the herd. Fertility, longevity and maternal ability matter because
C R O S S
every open cow and every problem cow has a cost. Over time, that pressure builds the kind of female we believe commercial cattlemen are looking for — a cow that quietly goes to work and gets the job done. THE MAX BULL PROGRAM STARTS WITH THOSE FEMALES. Our bulls are selected from cows that have proven themselves in production. We want bulls with the performance and muscle to add pounds, while maintaining the maternal characteristics that make their daughters valuable. Sound feet and legs, structural integrity, disposition and longevity remain essential. The goal isn’t simply to produce a bull that looks impressive on sale day; it is to produce a bull whose influence will still be evident in the cow herd years down the road. For Scott and Elan, the MAX program represents over 30 years of selection, observation and experience. It is about staying focused on the fundamentals that make a cow herd profitable.

SODERGLEN
BLACK MAX P RO G R A M M AT E R N A L
A N G U S
The Soderglen Black MAX program was developed with the commercial cattleman in mind. For more than 30 years, Soderglen has worked to build a predictable hybrid that captures the maternal strengths of Black Angus while adding the performance, muscle and carcass traits of Simmental. But Black MAX is about much more than simply crossing two breeds. Generations of selection have gone into developing MAX cattle with the consistency and predictability commercial producers need. Selection has always focused on the whole animal—balancing calving ease, fertility, maternal ability, milk, udder quality and longevity with the growth, muscle and performance required to produce calves that weigh and sell.
C R O S S
THE ADVANTAGE OF HYBRID VIGOUR Black MAX also gives commercial producers the opportunity to capture the benefits of heterosis without giving up consistency. That means added vigour and performance while maintaining the maternal qualities necessary to build a productive cow herd. This is not crossbreeding by chance. It is a planned breeding program backed by generations of selection. The result is a Black MAX bull designed to do exactly what a commercial bull should do: Breed cows. Add pounds. Make females. Last.
BUILT AROUND THE FEMALE At the heart of the Black MAX program is the cow. We want females that breed back, maintain themselves, raise a good calf and stay productive in the herd. Black MAX bulls are designed to sire the kind of replacement females cattlemen want to keep while still putting performance and pounds into the steer calves.

Mash 392J is a prime example of what we can do with the MAX program. Combining generations of solid pedigrees, and replicating traits that are so important. Calving ease, eye appeal, growth, carcass and maternal strength. 392J sons are as good as we have raised. Simply put, if you are using Black MAX bulls you need to own 392J sons. If you aren’t convinced yet on the MAX program, these sons are where you want to start. CE

SODERGLEN
BLACK ANGUS B U I LT A R O U N D T H E C O W At Soderglen, we have always believed that a good bull starts with a good cow. Our Black Angus program has been an important part of our cow herd for generations. We believe Angus cattle bring together the traits that matter most in a commercial cow herd—fertility, maternal ability, calving ease, soundness, longevity and the ability to raise a good calf year after year. We aren’t interested in chasing one trait or one number. Our goal is balance. We want bulls that will go out and breed cows, hold up in real ranch conditions and sire calves that have the performance and marketability commercial cattlemen need. Just as importantly, we want their daughters to become the kind of females you want to keep. BLACK ANGUS PLUS — A LITTLE MORE Our Black Angus Plus bulls build on that same Angus foundation while adding the benefits of complementary genetics and hybrid vigour.
The goal is straightforward: maintain the maternal strength and predictability of Angus while adding performance, muscle, efficiency and pounds where they matter. For cattlemen retaining replacement females, Angus Plus offers an opportunity to capture added heterosis while keeping the cow herd practical, maternal and functional. For cattlemen selling calves, it means genetics designed to produce vigorous calves with growth, muscle and the ability to push down the scale. These bulls aren’t bred for a show ring. They’re bred for pastures, cows and commercial cattlemen. After decades of developing purebred and hybrid genetics at Soderglen, our philosophy remains the same: Build the cow first. Add performance without sacrificing maternal strength. Produce cattle that work.

BLACK ANGUS+ INTRODUCING OUR NEWEST HYBRID OPTION! Our Fastest-Growing Program for Southern Alberta Cowherds 75% Angus. 25% Simmental. The Best of Both Breeds. Built with the commercial cattleman in mind, this exciting hybrid combines the strength of our best Angus genetics with the added benefits of Simmental influence and hybrid vigour. Like our proven MAX line, these cattle are homozygous polled and bred for colour consistency, bringing together the predictability of Angus with the added performance and maternal advantages of crossbreeding.
Selection pressure is placed heavily on calving ease, maternal strength, milk production, early maturity, sound udders and overall quality. These are cattle designed to work in realworld ranch conditions, raise a good calf year after year and remain productive in the herd. With the right balance of Angus quality, maternal function and hybrid vigour, it’s easy to see why this has become our fastest-growing program.

BREEDING INFORMATION The Soderglen and Westway bred heifers were synchronized and artificially inseminated using two carefully selected sires: • Red Bieber Paycheck K102 • Basin True Value 3017 Both sires were selected to complement the maternal strengths of these females and add value to their resulting calves. The Matt and Ronda Tees heifers were turned out on July 1st with SODER 204L and SODER 116L. On August 25th, the heifers were ultrasound pregnancy tested and staged to identify those confirmed bred during the July breeding period.
