Keep & Feed Program:
Early Sunset Ranch will keep your bulls until May 2, 2026, at no cost, on the condition that you insure your bulls. After May 2, there will be a $2 per day charge to the purchaser. Insurance will be available sale day and buyers are encouraged to use this option.

We are in exciting times in the Livestock Industry, and it has been a long tad in coming. One can only imagine how powerful the cattle themselves will be in the future after the bottom end has been trimmed back. Should make for interesting paths forward.
The offering in the sale is solid group from the top shelf. The bull division are an intriguing set. Develop to ensure longevity and freshness on a high forage TMR Ration while being allowed in big areas to romp and frolic in. As usual I go on an A.I. Tank safari to reintroduce some past proven genetics.
The female offering is an elite group of cheerleaders that can and will turn into breeding treasures. These gals were hand picked for your evaluation.

OBI Welcome
OBI is once again pleased to be working with Jim & Peggy Grant from Early Sunset Ranch in their 45th Annual Bull & Female Sale.
Jim continues to obtain top-end genetics through A.I. and walking bulls at the ranch. His Angus bulls this year are sure a powerful set with great weaning weights. On the Simmental side, the bulls are growthy individuals with great hair coats. The yearling bulls get plenty of exercise in large pens to improve longevity and foot structure. These bulls are created in mind of you the commercial cattleman. We also have 9 Two-Year-Old Bulls that can service more females for you, a very good set of them this year.
Again, like every year, Jim goes through the open females and hand selects 16 Angus & Simmental heifers for your pleasures. The genetics offered here are unique pieces of breeding material.

Bull Development Program
Bulls are developed on high roughage ration in large acres to ensure their freedom is not compromised result in sound herd bulls. Our goal is to engineer bulls that are athletic, sound, and ready to work in any commercial environment.
Early Sunset Bull Guarantee
Early Sunset guarantees to provide you with a sound, fertile bull capable of servicing a reasonable number of cows. Should your Early Sunset bull fail to be a satisfactory breeder, he will be replaced with a bull of equal value, or a credit will be given towards the purchase of another Early Sunset bull. If you have a problem with our bull please notify us immediately.
Early Sunset $2 Dollar/Day
From May 1 we will charge $2 per/day for keeping your bull for a reasonable length of time. We will keep your bulls under good management and care, developing them as we do our own breeding stock. If your bull(s) are left in our care and management we require you insure them against death.
Early Sunset In Herd Use
Early Sunset Ranch reserves the right to draw semen for in-herd use on any bull in the sale; at the buyer’s convenience and our expense.
BULL WARRANTY
We guarantee to provide you with a sound, fertile bull capable of servicing a reasonable number of cows. In the event that your bull is a non satisfactory breeder the seller will not, under any circumstances, be responsible for more than the original selling price of any bull or female sold in the sale. The consignors will not provide replacement or credit for physical injury or mismanagement. Therefore we stress the importance of insurance on your bull. An insurance agent will be available on sale day.
