DAY 5-8: OVERNIGHT ONBOARD VIA RAIL Explore Vancouver by day, then head to the VIA Rail station to board The Canadian for your eastbound journey to Toronto. Relax over the next few days onboard, soaking in stunning views of the Canadian Rockies.
DAY 9: TORONTO Arrive in Toronto this morning and settle in for two nights in Canada’s largest city. Spend the day exploring with a hop-on, hop-off bus tour, visiting highlights like the Royal Ontario Museum, the Hockey Hall of Fame, and Chinatown.
DAY 10: TORONTO Explore Toronto’s neighborhoods like Kensington Market and Yorkville or visit the Art Gallery of Ontario and Ripley’s Aquarium. End the day with a walk on the Toronto Islands or a Lake Ontario cruise.
DAYS 1-2: OVERNIGHT ONBOARD AMTRAK Welcome to Chicago! This afternoon make your way to Chicago’s Union Station to board Amtrak’s famous Empire Builder. As you head west, you’ll travel along major portions of the Lewis and Clark trail following the footsteps of early pioneers. Relax onboard in the observation car while you take in the stunning views of the Missouri River, the beautiful North Dakota plains, and Glacier National Park in “Big Sky Country”. DAY 3: SEATTLE TO VANCOUVER This morning, you’ll arrive in Seattle’s Kings Street Station. The afternoon is at your leisure to explore Seattle, visit popular attractions such as Pikes Place Market or Seattle’s Waterfront. In the evening, board Amtrak’s Cascades train and travel through the beautiful Pacific Northwest across the Canadian Border into British Columbia and ending in Downtown Vancouver.
