Faaborg – Art hand in hand with History
Numerous artists have lived and worked in the surroundings of Faaborg and in the town through the last 150 years. Many of the paintings, that were made in the last and first decade of the 1800s and 1900s, are on display in the Art Museum of Faaborg - Faaborg Museum. As a habitat, still the area is very
popular among painters and ceramics. Several galleries and antique stores are to be found in the area. Throughout the town of Faaborg you also will see sculptures made by Danish artists. A map with a walk through the town describing the historical buildings and the sculptures can be bought at the tourist office.
