A University of London study has found no conclusive evidence that vaping acts as a gateway to smoking among youth. The findings support the idea that well-regulated vaping can coexist with low youth smoking rates. Advocates say the data should guide future policy decisions.
Following successful trials, the UK is expanding its vape recycling programme nationwide. The scheme accepts both disposables and refillable devices, aiming to reduce e-waste while improving public perception of the industry’s environmental impact. Retailers are encouraged to participate as collection points.
A University College London analysis finds that vaping remains the most popular and effective quit-smoking aid in the UK. The study shows record smoking cessation rates among adults who use e-cigarettes compared to other methods. Public health advocates say the data should guide future policy to keep vaping accessible and affordable.
The International Electrotechnical Commission is reviewing global safety standards for lithium-ion batteries used in vaping devices. Proposed updates include stricter thermal stability tests and improved manufacturing oversight. Experts say the changes could significantly reduce fire risks and boost consumer confidence in regulated products.
GLOBAL Vape Market TO HIT $70B BY 2030
A new market forecast predicts the global vape industry will reach $70 billion by 2030, fuelled by innovation, online sales growth, and rising health awareness. Asia-Pacific is expected to lead expansion, followed by North America Analysts advise brands to focus on compliance and sustainability to secure market share.
The UK’s Tobacco and Vapes Bill is entering its final parliamentary debates, with key votes expected before year-end. The legislation includes a ‘Smokefree Generation’ policy, banning cigarette sales to those born after 2009, alongside tighter vape regulations. Industry groups stress the need to balance youth prevention with harm reduction for adult smokers, urging MPs to safeguard access to regulated vaping products that help smokers quit.
Industry leaders warn that overly strict UK vaping regulations could unintentionally boost black-market sales. Past data shows illicit products often fail safety tests, posing higher health risks. Stakeholders are urging policymakers to pair enforcement with consumer education and a continued supply of appealing, compliant alternatives.
With the Tobacco and Vapes Bill progressing, UK retailers are bracing for potential flavour restrictions on e-liquids. While no ban has yet been confirmed, industry experts say any limits must preserve adult choice and avoid undermining smoking cessation rates. Flavour variety remains a key factor in helping smokers successfully switch to vaping.
UK authorities seized over £9 million worth of illicit vaping products in 2024, highlighting the scale of the black-market trade. Many of the seized products failed to meet UK safety standards. The UK Vaping Industry Association (UKVIA) is calling for tougher enforcement against rogue traders while ensuring legitimate businesses are supported, not penalised, under the new regulations.
France has introduced its first nationwide vape recycling programme, tackling e-waste from both disposable and rechargeable devices. The scheme, supported by major retailers, aims to improve environmental responsibility while maintaining vaping’s public health benefits. Industry leaders say the move helps combat negative perceptions and positions the sector as proactive in sustainability efforts.
The UAE has rolled out new licensing requirements for vape retailers, aimed at curbing illegal imports and ensuring product quality. Officials say the framework will strengthen age verification, packaging rules, and advertising standards. Industry leaders welcome the changes, noting they will protect legitimate businesses while giving adult consumers greater confidence in regulated products. This marks another step in the UAE’s strategy to balance public health with responsible market growth.
Canada has lowered the maximum nicotine strength in e-liquids from 20mg/ml to 18mg/ ml. Officials argue the change will help reduce youth initiation without affecting adult smokers’ access. Some harm reduction advocates warn that lower nicotine levels could drive heavier smokers back to cigarettes or unregulated imports. Industry voices stress the need for ongoing education to highlight vaping’s significantly lower risk compared to smoking.
Philip Morris International will invest $250 million in a state-of-the-art research facility dedicated to vaping technology. The centre will focus on battery innovation, device safety, and flavour optimisation. PMI says the move reflects its long-term commitment to a “smokefree future.”
Analysts predict the facility will help accelerate the development of next-generation products that meet evolving regulatory demands while appealing to adult smokers seeking reduced-risk options.
Spain’s Ministry of Health has drafted legislation to ban all vape advertising, sponsorship, and influencer marketing. The proposal aims to reduce youth exposure, but industry stakeholders warn it could limit smokers’ awareness of harm reduction alternatives. Advocates call for balanced regulation that maintains adult access to information while preventing underage appeal.
Sales of heated tobacco products in Japan have risen 12% year-on-year, with cigarette consumption continuing to decline. While vaping remains heavily regulated, consumer shifts toward reduced-risk products are prompting debate over whether vaping laws should be relaxed. Analysts say the trend highlights growing demand for safer nicotine alternatives, which could encourage policymakers to diversify harm reduction options.
With tariffs and logistics costs increasing in China, vape brands are turning to Indonesia for manufacturing. The country offers competitive costs, strategic shipping routes, and favourable trade agreements. Industry experts say Indonesia could rival China’s dominance within five years, creating a more resilient and diversified supply chain for the global vape industry.
Malaysia has legalised nicotinecontaining e-liquids under a new licensing system, formalising the market and improving consumer protections. Retailers report a surge in legal sales, with customers responding positively to wider product choices and quality assurance. The government hopes the move will boost tax revenue while encouraging smokers to switch to regulated alternatives.
A U.S. study has found that smokers using non-tobacco flavoured e-liquids are 2.5 times more likely to quit cigarettes than
Brazil’s health ministry has opened a public consultation on legalising vaping, ending a decades-long ban. Early feedback shows strong consumer and industry support. If approved, Brazil could become one of Latin America’s largest regulated vape markets, offering huge opportunities for manufacturers and distributors.
South Africa’s parliament has passed new vaping legislation, introducing nicotine caps, packaging rules, and sales restrictions. Industry stakeholders welcome regulatory clarity but warn that overly strict measures could slow smoking cessation rates. The bill aims to strike a balance between youth prevention and harm reduction.
Germany has voiced support for including harm reduction
those using tobacco flavours alone. Researchers say flavours are a critical factor in successful smoking cessation. Advocacy groups are urging lawmakers to protect adult access to flavours, warning that blanket bans could undermine public health gains.
New Zealand has launched a national helpline for smokers transitioning to vaping. The service offers guidance on choosing devices, setting nicotine levels, and safe use. Officials say the programme reflects the
country’s strong harm reduction stance and could inspire similar initiatives globally.
principles in upcoming EU vaping regulations. Officials argue that vaping should be taxed and regulated differently from smoking, reflecting its reduced-risk profile. Industry groups see this as a positive shift in the EU policy landscape.
A coalition of U.S. vape retailers has petitioned the FDA for a faster, more transparent approval process. They argue that long delays stifle innovation and drive consumers toward unregulated markets. The group proposes streamlined approval for proven harm reduction products to maintain market integrity.
New law shifts responsibility of waste management to sellers, aiming to tackle growing e-waste.
he UK government has introduced a “polluter pays” recycling scheme that requires vape sellers to fund the collection and disposal of single-use devices.
Under the new rules, retailers and importers must register with the Environment Agency, report sales volumes, and contribute financially to recycling programmes designed to reduce electronic waste.
Disposable vapes have now been classified as a distinct e-waste product category, reflecting their valuable yet hazardous components such as lithium batteries and copper. The policy means online giants like Amazon
and smaller convenience stores alike will be legally obliged to cover the costs of safe disposal.
Sustainability advocates, including Material Focus, welcomed the move, noting the prevalence of discarded vapes in public spaces, bins, and landfills.
Improper disposal has been linked to battery fires in waste facilities and growing environmental hazards.
By forcing producers and sellers to account for recycling, the scheme creates financial incentives for more sustainable product design.
Retailers, including Currys and
other high-street names, have pledged support, citing the opportunity to build consumer confidence in a cleaner, more responsible vape industry.
Critics argue that costs could be passed down to consumers, but most observers see the regulation as an overdue step toward curbing vaping’s ecological footprint.
Ultimately, the “polluter pays” principle may not only transform disposal practices but also reshape the industry itself— pushing brands toward recyclable, refillable alternatives that align with both environmental goals and regulatory expectations.
VAPE SELLERS WILL NOW BE FINANCIALLY RESPONSIBLE FOR RECYCLING DISPOSABLES THEY SELL UNDER A CIRCULAR ECONOMY PRINCIPLE.

landmark UK study has revealed that around onethird of teenagers who vape later go on to smoke cigarettes, sparking fears that decades of progress in reducing youth tobacco uptake could be at risk.
Researchers compared generational data on smoking initiation and found a striking contrast: while only 1.5% of non-vaping teens at age 17 later became smokers, a staggering 33% of their vaping peers picked up the habit. The figures suggest that the likelihood of teens progressing from vaping to smoking is as high as smoking initiation rates among young people in the 1970s.
The findings arrive at a time when an estimated 1.1 million 11- to 17-year-olds in the UK have already experimented with vaping, with usage rates tripling in recent years. Although the study does not prove causation,
researchers described the association as “especially concerning,” warning that vaping could serve as a gateway to traditional tobacco use.
Public health groups, including Action on Smoking and Health (ASH), are urging swift action through the Tobacco and Vapes Bill, which is currently progressing through Parliament. Proposed measures include tighter restrictions on packaging, flavours, and advertising—changes aimed at curbing youth initiation without undermining adult access to reduced-risk products.
The research highlights the complex dual role of vaping: a harm reduction tool for adults and a potential risk factor for youth. Policymakers face the difficult task of striking a balance that protects younger generations while preserving vaping’s role in helping adult smokers quit.
ritish American Tobacco (BAT) is preparing to launch its new product, Velo Plus, across the U.S. later this year - a nicotine pouch formulated with synthetic, lab-made nicotine.
Synthetic nicotine mirrors the molecular structure of natural nicotine but is manufactured without tobacco, potentially sidestepping lengthy FDA review processes that often delay new product entries.
For BAT, the move is both defensive and opportunistic. Demand for discreet, smoke-free products has soared, and
pouches are becoming a preferred option for adult users seeking tobaccofree alternatives.
By using synthetic nicotine, BAT is positioning Velo Plus as both a reduced-risk option and a regulatory innovation, giving it an advantage over rivals still reliant on conventional pathways.
Market analysts suggest that Velo Plus could establish a precedent for other companies to exploit regulatory gaps, at least until lawmakers expand oversight.
Already, discussions are taking place in
Washington about how synthetic nicotine should be classified, with some warning that fasttracked innovation risks outpacing consumer protections.
Still, BAT argues that synthetic nicotine represents progress toward a smokefree future, offering products that align with evolving consumer expectations while maintaining safety and consistency.
If successful, Velo Plus could accelerate the shift toward non-tobacco nicotine delivery, further transforming a market already defined by rapid innovation.
Altria Group has raised alarm over the rising tide of counterfeit vaping products in the U.S., warning that illicit disposables now represent more than 60% of the market.
The company says this surge is undermining demand for regulated products such as its recently acquired Njoy line, despite posting 30% revenue growth last year.
Executives say the sheer volume of fakes, often smuggled through ports and sold at lower prices, is eroding trust and making it harder for compliant brands to compete.
Many counterfeit products bypass safety standards, contain undeclared nicotine strengths, and are marketed with youthappealing flavors, further complicating the regulatory landscape.
As a result, Altria has revised its 2028 growth forecasts downward, citing counterfeit saturation as a major headwind. Industry associations are urging lawmakers to allocate more resources to customs enforcement and impose harsher penalties on rogue distributors.
Consumer education campaigns are also being called for, to help buyers distinguish between legitimate and illegal products.
The situation underscores the dual challenge regulators face: protecting public health while ensuring adult consumers retain access to safe, compliant options.
Without stronger intervention, Altria warns that the counterfeiting epidemic could stifle innovation, reduce tax revenues, and leave consumers exposed to potentially unsafe devices.
2025’s defining trends are shaping vaping’s next chapter. From smart vapes to ecofriendly designs, brands are evolving to meet changing demands.
As the global vaping industry heads deeper into 2025, analysts highlight three trends that are reshaping the market: product diversification, sustainability, and technology integration. Each reflects both consumer demand and regulatory pressure, pushing companies to evolve quickly.
Product diversification is the most visible shift. Brands are no longer confined to traditional e-liquids and disposables; instead, they are expanding into nicotine pouches, wellnesslinked devices, and hybrid systems that blur category lines.
This strategy is designed to capture new audiences while mitigating regulatory risks tied to single product types.
Sustainability is also front of mind. With bans on disposables spreading, companies are
pivoting toward recyclable, refillable systems and even exploring bio-based materials. Environmental credibility has become a competitive asset, with consumers increasingly rewarding brands that demonstrate eco-consciousness.
Finally, technology is emerging as a defining factor. Appconnected devices, AI-driven performance monitoring, and even biometric integration are being tested, promising personalized user experiences and stronger compliance through age verification features. While not yet mainstream, these innovations point to a more tech-centric future for vaping.
Together, these three forces are transforming the industry. Companies that embrace them without losing sight of compliance will be best positioned to thrive.
For consumers, the coming years promise a vaping landscape that is broader, greener, and more technologically advanced than ever before.
THE WINNERS IN 2025 WILL BE THOSE WHO INNOVATE WITHOUT LOSING SIGHT OF COMPLIANCE.
The global vaping market is projected to grow from $33.16 billion in 2025 to nearly double by 2029, reaching $67 billion. Analysts forecast a compound annual growth rate close to 20%, driven by surging demand, rapid innovation, and regulatory shifts favoring harm reduction.
North America and Asia-Pacific remain the fastest-growing regions. The U.S. alone is expected to generate over $9 billion in revenue this year, while markets such as China, Indonesia, and the Philippines are seeing a boom in manufacturing and local adoption. Europe, meanwhile, is being shaped by sustainability-driven policies such as disposable vape bans, which are pushing consumers toward reusable products. Key growth drivers include
improvements in battery technology, the rise of e-commerce channels, and consumer interest in smoke-free alternatives like pouches and heated tobacco. The expansion of digital sales is especially notable, as online platforms allow smaller brands to reach global audiences more efficiently.
For B2B players, the focus will be on balancing innovation with compliance. Sustainability and recycling schemes are becoming critical differentiators, while companies that fail to align with environmental goals may struggle to maintain credibility.
With regulators, investors, and consumers aligned on the trajectory toward reduced-risk products, the vaping sector looks poised not only for rapid financial growth but also for deeper integration into mainstream public health strategies.

From a two-week sprint to a global media powerhousethe Vapouround story so far. Ten years, countless covers, unforgettable nights, and a bus that became a movement.
this is our story...
hen Vapouround first launched in 2015, nobody could have predicted how far the magazine - and the team behind it - would go.
In just ten years, we’ve grown from a mad dash to get a first issue out in time for Vapefest into the world’s number one vape magazine, with global partnerships, iconic awards, and a brand name recognised across continents.
Our journey has been packed with highs, hurdles, and more than a few surreal moments. Here are some of the milestones that defined our first decade.
Vapouround was born in a blaze of caffeine and chaos. From concept to print in two weeks flat, the first issue was created with staff working 20-hour days just to hit the deadline. The magazine debuted at Vapefest, and the industry’s leading title was off and running.
From our early years, Vapouround aligned with the biggest expos in vaping. Our partnership with Vaper Expo UK grew into a defining collaboration, and soon we were media partners with expos across Europe, Asia, the Middle East and the Americas. Wherever the industry gathered, Vapouround was there.
What started as a small ceremony with six to eight categories quickly became the Oscars of vaping. Over ten years, the Vapouround Awards evolved into the industry’s most prestigious night, recognising brands, influencers, and innovators across the globe. Today, the trophy is a true mark of international credibility.
At one point, Vapouround owned and operated seven dedicated vape shops, giving us direct consumer insight. Sadly, COVID-19 forced their closure — but they remain a proud chapter in our story.
Originally designed as a house blend for our shops, Vapouround Juice quickly found demand far beyond our expectations.
Distributors snapped it up, and soon it was available nationally, proving Vapouround could succeed in liquids as well as media.
A unique product that put brands directly into the hands of shops and distributors. The Vapouround Sample Box became a trusted showcase for new products, bridging the gap between manufacturers and the trade.
What started as a cheeky protest against restrictive UK advertising rules became one of our most famous projects.
When regulations said vape ads were only allowed on billboards and buses, we bought an actual bus, plastered it with vape branding, and drove it nationwide.
The idea was to highlight the absurdity of banning vape magazines in age-restricted shops, while allowing giant rolling ads in public view.
But the bus soon evolved into something bigger - a mobile smoking cessation unit. Rebranded as an education hub on wheels, it travelled the UK, swapping cigarettes for vapes, giving out information, and promoting harm reduction at expos, city centres, shopping malls, and festivals.
From “F*** Around” to “Vape Around,” our tongue-in-cheek t-shirts and hats became instantly recognisable. The merch line captured our playful side, building brand loyalty in a way only Vapouround could pull off.
After six successful years in Birmingham, we went international. The MENA Awards launched in Dubai, and despite the challenge of running two major ceremonies in such a short space of time, it became a huge success. Today, it stands alongside the Birmingham event as one of vaping’s most prestigious honours.
We’re now developing an AI-assisted website and app designed to take our legacy into the next decade. It will combine intelligent tools, interactive features, and deeper engagement for brands and consumers, reinforcing Vapouround’s role as the central hub of the global vape community.
We grew far beyond print. From digital platforms and video production to social media campaigns and partnerships, Vapouround Media expanded the brand’s reach and influence, making sure our storytelling resonated across every channel.
From a two-week sprint at Vapefest to buses, awards, shops, juice lines, expos, and now AI-driven innovation, Vapouround’s journey has been one of relentless energy and constant reinvention.
For ten years, we’ve celebrated brands, told their stories, shaped perception, and championed harm reduction.
But if the last decade proved what Vapouround can achieve, the next will show just how much further we can go.
Here’s to the next ten!
Vapouround Magazine proudly celebrates its 10th birthday, marking a decade of innovation, influence, and dedication within the vaping industry.

On the occasion of this special 10th anniversary, why has UWELL chosen “unyielding” as its keyword?
Let’s explore the origin through an exclusive interview with the UWELL team – a decade of perseverance that has nurtured ordinary yet unyielding stories.
Congratulations on UWELL’s 10th anniversary! Looking back, what key milestones do you think have shaped UWELL into what we see today?
Down to earth, up to the stars. UWELL’s success wasn’t sparked by any single decision or one big moment. Since we founded the company in 2015, our team has put product R&D front and center. Right from day one, we put flavor and quality improvements at the top of our priority list, and
we’ve been pumping more and more resources into research and development year after year. That’s how UWELL’s products have gained recognition from more and more partners and users along the way. We would say this is really the payoff from staying grounded and consistent. It’s the result of longterm, consistent effort, and we’re still doubling down on building deep technical know-how.
What would you like to say to the loyal users who have supported UWELL over the past decade?
Just saying “thank you” doesn’t cut it when it comes to expressing our gratitude. Without our users’ support, there simply wouldn’t be any UWELL to speak of. We’ve never stopped pushing the boundaries of the technologies for flavor and quality. Our users’ needs and expectations are our north star for improvement. We’re
determined to make our products better and better, because that’s what we believe is the best way to give back to our loyal users.
Is UWELL planning to release any special products to celebrate the 10th anniversary?
Yes. On August 18, we launched the CALIBURN G4 Classic, designed specifically to celebrate it. True to its name, the sleek and refined craftsmanship, along with the distinctive flavor we’re recognized for, truly reflects what we’ve been working towards over the past decade.
What makes you think the CALIBURN G4 Classic represents UWELL’s tenyear pursuit?
Our team really put a lot of effort into perfecting the CALIBURN G4
Classic, making it a precisionengineered product. You can sense its premium feel at a glance. Compared with other devices, the product goes through a longer, more detailed finishing process in production, which speaks to UWELL’s serious, craft-driven approach. And because UWELL has always won people over with its flavor, the CALIBURN G4 Classic carries forward the hallmark taste technology of the CALIBURN line. In short, we believe its meticulous build and standout flavor experience perfectly capture the essence of UWELL’s 10-year product journey.
What inspired the design of the CALIBURN G4 Classic?
For vape devices, we’ve always taken a flavor-first approach. Sure, mainstream products nowadays are packed with more and more bells and whistles, but at the end
of the day, users’ core need is definitely the “vaping experience” itself. When we were brainstorming the CALIBURN G4 Classic, that’s exactly what hit us: getting back to basics and focusing on users’ fundamental vaping needs. So compared to the popular products out there right now, this one takes a “less is more” approach. We only included features designed around delivering the optimal flavor experience and ditched all the other add-ons that don’t really enhance the vaping experience.
The photos show that the CALIBURN FG4 Classic has a unique style that sets it apart from previous UWELL models. What is the design philosophy behind it?
The whole design philosophy boils down to showcasing “carefully crafted” quality, which is exactly what UWELL’s team has been chasing for the past 10 years. The CALIBURN G4 Classic has a surface finish that’s smoother than any UWELL product we’ve ever made. Every single curved edge and every inch of surface treatment is the result of countless back-and-forth discussions between our designers and materials engineers to nail the best solution.
We went through nearly a hundred rounds of testing and fine-tuning to achieve this fluid, streamlined look combined with that warm, comfortable hand feel that you see today. Because we set the bar so high for this aesthetic device, production takes way more time and manpower than usual.
Beauty might be in the eye of the beholder, but the quality that comes from being “carefully crafted” is something you can see and you can feel. The CALIBURN G4 Classic lives up to its name as a distilled reflection of UWELL team’s attitude of setting sky-high standards for quality.
What makes the flavor of the Classic stand out?
First off, the CALIBURN G4 Classic carries forward the latest PROFOCS 4.0 Flavor technology from the CALIBURN G4 series, and its wattage is automatically matched to the optimal power based on the cartridge resistance. Our users don’t need to rack their brains figuring it out, and they just get to enjoy the best taste right off the bat. On top of that, we’ve got a dual airflow control system with stepless damping airflow control and reversible cartridge airflow control, which does a better job of
catering to users’ MTL preferences as well as RDL preferences. And the newly upgraded twin vaping sensors, with millisecond-synced signaling, makes every inhale faster to respond and smoother overall. The difference is obvious the moment you get your hands on the product and try it out.
Please describe the UWELL brand in one sentence. What was it like in the past, and what is it like now?
UWELL has always been a
straightforward and practical brand, and it’s going to stay grounded in the future as well.
In areas where the rules are constantly changing, how does UWELL manage to keep up with compliance while still being innovative?
You can’t have innovation without a solid compliance foundation. The two are not in conflict at all.
If you had to define UWELL with one word, what would it be?
Unyielding. No matter what, whether UWELL is doing great or facing some tough times, we’ll always keep our feet on the ground. We’ll keep making products, pushing our limits, trying new things, and taking on challenges, all while staying humble and not getting too carried away.
What does UWELL see as the key trends that will impact the vaping industry moving forward? Also, how has UWELL prepared for these changes?
We believe that technological evolution and the ever-shifting demands of the market and users will have the biggest impact on the industry. That’s why we keep up with regulations, track policy changes around the world, and stay tuned to technological developments and shifts in user needs. The future is always changing, so the best preparation is to face that change head-on.
Where do you see UWELL in the next ten years?
Down to earth, up to the stars. UWELL will definitely earn more recognition from users based on the strength of our products.

Riot’s entry into the disposable category stood out for its bold flavours and eco-conscious messaging, pushing strong UK sales and recognition.
Big clouds, bold branding, and a sub-ohm experience in pen form. The Stick Prince became a favourite for those chasing performance without the bulk of box mods.

As Vapouround marks its 10th anniversary, it’s only fitting to celebrate those who built the world of vaping as we know it — and acknowledge that the next decade will be shaped by a new generation of voices ready to make their mark.
Once hailed as a miracle quit-smoking tool, JUUL became a lightning rod for controversy. Its rapid rise in the U.S., followed by lawsuits, FDA crackdowns, and accusations of fuelling youth uptake, made it the most infamous brand in vape history.
An outbreak of lung injuries in the U.S. - later traced mostly to illicit THC cartridges - was widely mislabelled as a vaping epidemic. It created mass panic and left lasting damage to public perception of vaping.
From the U.S. to Europe, headlines about underage vaping dominated media cycles. This fuelled stricter regulations, flavour bans, and tighter advertising restrictions worldwide.
While disposables like Elf Bar became wildly popular, they also drew criticism for environmental waste and youth appeal. Several governments, including the UK, moved to ban single-use vapes entirely.
From the FDA’s flavour crackdown in the U.S. to EU proposals, flavour bans have been one of the decade’s most hotly contested topics. The industry has fought back, arguing flavours are key for adult smokers switching.
The slow and often confusing FDA Premarket Tobacco Product Application (PMTA) process left many U.S. companies in limbo, with thousands of products removed from shelves and only a handful approved.
Countries like India, Thailand, and Brazil implemented outright bans, while others like the Philippines tightened certification and safety requirements. These decisions shaped global market dynamics.
Altria and others sounded the alarm as counterfeit disposables flooded markets, accounting for a massive share of sales. The safety risks - and damage to legal brands - became a defining issue.
Headlines around e-waste and lithium battery fires forced the industry into the sustainability debate. Government schemes and brand-led recycling initiatives became a new front line of responsibility.
Perhaps the biggest ongoing controversy: is vaping a gateway or an exit? Studies, advocacy groups, and health bodies clashed over the risks and benefits, keeping vaping in headlines year after year.

If vaping is a story of innovation, culture, and community, then events have been the stages where that story played out. Over the past decade, expos and awards shows around the world became the lifeblood of the industry - places where deals were struck, flavours launched, friendships forged, and legacies created.
As Vapouround celebrates its 10th anniversary, we take a look back at some of the most iconic vape events of the past decade.
The Oscars of vaping. For ten years, the Vapouround Global Awards have recognised the industry’s best and brightest - from household names to breakthrough newcomers. With multiple international editions, it has become the gold standard for recognition in vaping.
Birmingham
Known as “The Big Weekend,” Vaper Expo UK remains Europe’s flagship event. Tens of thousands of attendees, cloud comps, and global product launches made Birmingham the epicentre of vaping innovation year after year.
A cornerstone for southern Europe, Vapexpo Spain drew crowds of dedicated vapers and gave Spanish distributors and brands a platform to shine. Its mix of culture, community, and commerce made it a must-visit stop.
Paris
One of the most stylish vape expos, Vapexpo France became a benchmark for the European market. Known for its slick organisation and strong advocacy presence, it reflected France’s pivotal role in global vaping.
Verona
Set against the historic backdrop of Verona, VapItaly became one of Europe’s most important gatherings. It combined Italian style with serious business, offering a platform for both local artisans and global heavyweights. Over the years it cemented Italy’s place as a hotbed of vaping culture and innovation.
The UK’s first major consumer expo. Vape Jam was where many international brands got their first taste of the British market, and its influence can still be felt today.
Stuttgart, Germany
Germany’s largest vaping event, Hall of Vape has been a hub for both the European community and the international trade scene. It embodied vaping’s mix of serious business and subculture creativity.
A relative newcomer but already a global giant, the World Vape Show has positioned the UAE as a crossroads of international vaping. Its mix of exhibitors, regulators, and distributors reflects the industry’s new global direction.
Shenzhen, China
As the epicentre of vape manufacturing, Shenzhen’s IECIE Expo became essential for trade buyers and innovators alike. It was here that many of the decade’s most successful devices and technologies first hit the spotlight.
Bogotá, Colombia
Proof that vaping is a truly global movement, Vape South America gave Latin America its own platform. It showcased regional growth while drawing in brands from around the world.
Originally a tobacco trade show, TPE evolved into one of the U.S.’s biggest alternative nicotine events. In recent years, vaping has taken centre stage, with Las Vegas hosting a who’s who of global brands looking to crack the American market.
Billed as the “next generation nicotine festival,” EVO NXT mixes business, lifestyle, and entertainment. With its forward-looking approach, it reflects how vaping and other reduced-risk products are blending into broader consumer culture.
The world’s largest trade fair for tobacco products also became a key stop for vape companies. InterTabac gave mainstream recognition to vaping’s place in the global nicotine market, bridging old and new industries.
Grassroots, community-driven, and proudly independent, VapeCon embodied the DIY and enthusiast side of vaping. More than just an expo, it was a celebration of culture, cloud-chasing, and community spirit.

Also known as the Malaysia International Vape Summit, is a prominent event that gathers vape enthusiasts, manufacturers, and retailers from around the region. It serves as a platform to showcase the latest vaping products, foster industry connections, and discuss trends and regulations in the vaping scene.
If there’s one thing vaping has taught us, it’s to expect the unexpected. From rebuildable drippers to disposables, the last decade has been a rollercoaster of innovation. So what could vaping look like in 2035? Will pods be implanted in our wrists? Will governments finally admit vaping saves lives?
Here’s a playful peek into the future of our industry...
Your vape won’t just fire - it’ll coach you. “That puff was too weak, Dave. Adjusting wattage. Also, maybe cut down on the cheesecake juices.”
Instead of buying bottles, you’ll buy flavour “cartridges” and print your own bespoke e-liquid at home. Craving bubblegum tiramisu with a hint of chilli? No problem.
Pods will sync to your smartwatch, tracking puff count, nicotine intake, even hydration. Vape too much? It’ll nag you like your Fitbit.
Devices made from plant-based plastics or recycled materials that biodegrade when you’re done. Finally, an answer to disposable waste debates.
Forget running out of disposables. By 2035, a drone might drop a fresh pod on your balcony within minutes of you finishing the last one.
Cinemas might add “vape-friendly screenings” with extraction fansfinally, popcorn clouds mixing with popcorn buckets.
Cloud chasing could go VR. Strap on goggles, blow an O, and watch it spiral through a digital colosseum against opponents worldwide.
By 2035, after a decade of research, governments might finally admit what we knew all along: flavours help adults quit. Cue a renaissance of wild blends.
RETURN OF THE VAPE BUS 2.0
By 2035, Vapouround might launch a fully electric, AIdriven Vape Bus - part expo, part education hub, part nightclub on wheels.
Some of these ideas might sound far-fetched — but then again, in 2015 who would’ve guessed that by 2025 the UK would ban disposables while Elf Bar became a household name? If the past decade proved anything, it’s that vaping’s future will be just as unpredictable, playful, and groundbreaking.
One thing’s for sure - whatever 2035 looks like, Vapouround will still be there telling the story.

Specifications:
Battery Capacity: 3200mAh
Power Output: Up to 80W
Charging: USB-C, 5V/2A
Screen: 0.96” TFT Display
Compatible Pods: XR Max Pods (DTL & MTL), cross-compatible with GTX coils
Modes: Smart, Pulse, Eco
Adjustable Airflow: Side slider
The Vaporesso LUXE XR MAX 2 takes everything from the original and gives it a proper upgrade— more power, better design, and user-focused improvements that feel genuinely useful.
Right off the bat, this thing is packing a massive 3200mAh battery, making it a real workhorse for all-day vaping.
I found it easily kept up even with heavy directto-lung use, and still had juice to spare. For lighter or more moderate users, you’re probably looking at two days between charges—solid performance.
Physically, it’s a bit bigger than your average pod mod, but not by much. It still fits nicely in the hand, and the weight gives it a reassuring sturdiness.
The transparent shell remains, giving that signature Vaporesso look, but now there’s a slick new 0.96” screen that’s crisp, clean and easy to read.
One little bonus is the physical lock switch at the base—ideal for chucking it in your bag without worry.
In terms of performance, it’s genuinely excellent. The included 0.2Ω dual mesh coil absolutely rips for DTL—tons of flavour, thick clouds—and the 0.8Ω coil works just as well for a tighter MTL experience.
Swapping between styles is a breeze thanks to the responsive side airflow control. The draw is smooth, flavour is bang on, and the vapour production is way up there for a pod mod.
It’s not just raw power either—Smart, Pulse and Eco modes offer subtle but useful tweaks depending on your vaping preference.
Coil life is impressive too—I got over a week of heavy use on the 0.2Ω before I noticed any drop in flavour.
Filling the pods is simple via the base, and they snap in securely with no wobble, with the only downside I found was the tinted pods—a bit of a challenge when you’re trying to check juice levels in dim light…other than that, this kit delivers on almost every front.
If you want something portable with power, style and premium features, the LUXE XR MAX 2 might be your next go-to.
• Massive battery and fast USB-C charging
• Excellent coil performance for both MTL and DTL
• Great screen and build quality
• Physical lock switch is a clever addition
• Smart, Pulse and Eco modes enhance usability
• Pods are a little too tinted to see liquid clearly
• Slightly bulky compared to smaller pod systems
Specifications:
Maximum Output: 30W
Screen: 0.54” OLED
Battery Capacity: 1300mAh
Charging: USB C 5V/2A fast charge
Possibly one of the smallest in the hard wearing line of Aegis kits produced by Geekvape, the Hero Q seamlessly blends performance and durability whilst retaining a minute stature that will easily fit in the palm of your hand or even the smallest of pockets.
Looking at this device, you will immediately notice its distinct square shape, something that is relatively uncommon in comparison with most other pod systems currently on the market right now.
Available in a vast array of awesome colours, there is definitely something for everyone - my personal favourite being the Cyan colour scheme.
With its iconic robust frame, the exterior is simplistic and refined, and features a tiny 0.54” screen displaying all of the important info you may need to see throughout your dayparticularly your wattage
and battery percentage.
On the topic of batteries, the Hero Q boasts a surprisingly hefty 1300mAh inbuilt battery, easily lasting a day of moderate vaping.
Charging via USB C is straightforward and does what it says on the tin, powering up in approximately 30-45 minutes or so.
Capable of an output of up to 30W, this kit kicks out an impressive amount of power for such a little device.
The Hero Q comes with TPD compliant 2ml capacity, Geekvape Q Series pods, in both 0.6ohm and 0.8ohm variations, however I chose to use the 0.4ohm (sold separately).
Pairing the 0.4ohm pod, with 20mg nicotine salt eliquid, and pumping it up to the full 30W, you can expect an unmatched, satisfying throat hit and solid flavour production.
Pods are lasting me roughly 8 or 9 days apiece, and flavour remains full and consistent throughout.
The choice of coil resistances offer users
a chance to fine tune their vaping experience and you can really customise it to suit your needs.
As I briefly mentioned, the Hero Q utilises the Geekvape Q Series Cartridges, all of which include built in coils, reducing chances of leaking and is just so much more hassle free compared with removable coils, definitely a thumbs up in my books!
I think where this device truly shines is it’s tough and sturdy structure...the Aegis line of kits have built up a powerful reputation over the years for their durable and hard wearing build quality.
It’s unique shock resistant design will easily handle drops and bumps of all severities (I don’t recommend chucking it off a skyscraper though!).
Price-wise, this device is going to be around the £15-£20 GBP mark, depending on where you decide to purchase it, making it a truly affordable option for those on a budget.
Using this kit is super straightforward and will be suitable for both new and veteran vapers alike, with no complex or unnecessary features.
Versatile, lightweight, dependable and obviously well built, the Hero Q ticks all of the boxes when it comes to choosing the perfect pod system.
Fantastic colour options
Sturdy
Small and Lightweight
I am used to a bigger display screen, although I can see that Geekvape wanted to keep the size of this kit on the smaller side.
Specifications:
Battery Capacity: 1100 mAh
Charging: DC 5V/1A, USB C
Screen: 0.54” OLED
Dimensions: 121.1*25*16mm
Cartridge Capacity: 2ml (TPD) 5ml (elsewhere)
Consistently spouting out top tier devices, Vaporesso is renowned for its durable, well designed and reliable products, garnering a huge following within the vape community.
The Vibe kit is clearly no exception when it comes to those statements.
If you are on the hunt for a sleek, user-friendly vape that delivers a strong performance whilst not breaking the bank, the Vaporesso Vibe might just be your new ‘go to’.
This compact pod system is designed with MTL vaping in mind, but with its adjustable airflow feature, you can also get away with a satisfying RDTL inhale.
This cracking bit of kit will appeal to vapers that crave performance, simplicity and subtle customisation.
After spending some quality time with it, and putting it through its paces, here’s the lowdown on what makes the Vibe tick.
Fresh out of the box, the Vaporesso Vibe impresses with its minimalist design. It is lightweight, slim and fits perfectly in the palm of your hand or pocket - ideal for on the go vaping!
It’s matte finish is not only visually appealing, but also acts as a resistance against pesky fingerprints. The Vibe comes in a variety of snazzy colour themes, oozing with refinement and style.
The 0.54” OLED screen is a nice touch and provides clear information about battery life and power modes, without being too obtrusive.
The side mounted mode switch is conveniently placed to the side of the device, allowing users to easily toggle between ECO and PWR modes.
Overall, I found the superior build quality to be solid and well crafted, with no instances of looseness or rattling.
Packing a fairly substantial 1100mAh battery, the Vibe sits around average in this respect when compared to similar devices currently on the market.
I found that the 1100mAh battery held up rather well, although I did find myself having to charge it at least once during a day of heavy vaping.
I was using PWR mode, which runs at 24 watts, whereas if you are operating on ECO mode (14W) you can expect a substantially extended battery life.
For me, PWR mode offered a more intense throat hit and a more pronounced flavour, something that I have been accustomed to when vaping pod systems.
On the plus side, the Vibe did power back up quite swiftly, only needing to be on charge for about 30-40 mins before being fully replenished again, ready to go.
Charging is handled via a USB C port, and supports 2A fast charging. The crisp OLED screen displays battery life, so you are never caught off guard.
The Vibe’s standout (and incredibly simple) feature is its dual mode functionality, offering both ECO and PWR settings.
With ECO mode selected, the device runs at a subtle 14W, ideal for a tighter draw, closely mimicking the inhale of a cigarette or standard single use vapes. Working wonders with nicotine salt eLiquids, this is a perfect choice for MTL vaping.
Another benefit of using ECO mode is the fact that it conserves battery life and greatly extends pod longevity.
PWR mode, for me, is where this device truly shines, and it provides a punchy 24W output...battery life is slightly diminished but the intense throat hit and ‘flowy’ vapour production certainly makes up for that.
The flavour delivery with both modes is impressive, with the dual mesh coils providing a rich and consistent taste.
The auto draw function on this kit is incredibly responsive and only needs the slightest of inhales to activate it.
With a TPD compliant 2ml capacity (4.5ml in other markets), the pods are super easy to maintain. A growing trend (and one I can fully get behind) are pods that feature a non-removable, pre-installed coil.
This minimises hassle and reduces potential leakages in my opinion. The side fill mechanism features a small silicone stopper that makes refilling straightforward and mess free.
Vaporesso have carefully crafted these pods to be leak resistant and, through my experience, they live up to this claim.
Even after multiple refills, instances of leakages are non-existent and condensation build up is minimal. Pods are expected to last approximately 30 refills, offering impressive longevity and reduced ongoing costs.
I found that one of the Vibe’s true strengths lie in its simplicity, making it an ideal candidate for all levels of vapers.
There is no need to fiddle with buttons or settings - just fill the pod, select your preferred mode, and inhale! Cost wise, the Vaporesso Vibe comes in at around £20£25 GBP, depending on where you decide to purchase it.
I would say that this is about average when compared to similar pod systems, and is excellent value for money.
Replacement pods can be easily sourced and their substantial, long lasting life means you probably won’t be needing to buy spares quite so often.
For my final thoughts, I found that the Vaporesso Vibe checked all of the boxes when it comes to choosing a well built, reliable, easy to operate and affordable device.
It is a true all rounder, and its dual mode functionality allows for a tailored vaping experience, whether you prefer a tight MTL draw, or a more open, flavourful hit.
The dependable battery life and quick charge method makes it suitable for all day use, and its compact design ensures portability.
While it may not have the advanced features of a more expensive device, the Vibe delivers where it counts.
So, if you are a beginner looking for a starter kit, or a more experienced vaper seeking a fuss free and convenient back up, you’re going to want to check out the Vaporesso Vibe.
Super easy to use Affordable upkeep Pod longevity
CONS
I’m used to using lower resistance pods, with wattages hitting around 30W, so the throat hit was a little smoother than what I usually go for.
Specifications:
Battery Capacity: 1100 mAh
Charging: DC 5V/1A, USB C
Dimensions: 12*2.5*1.6cm
Cartridge Capacity: 2ml (TPD)
If you are on the look out for an inexpensive and stylish vape that delivers consistent performance without unnecessary complexity, the Vaporesso Vibe SE kit may just be what you are looking for.
Designed carefully with both simplicity and efficiency in mind, this device caters for vapers of all levelswhether you are a complete newcomer, or a seasoned pro looking for a no fuss back up option.
When it comes to the cutting edge aesthetics of the Vibe SE,its minimalist design is both attractive and functional.
Its slim profile and super lightweight construction makes it extremely portable and convenient, and will fit nicely in both your pocket or your palm.
As with the Vaporesso Vibe Kit, the buffed matte finish reduces the visibility of fingerprints and provides a pleasant, tactile feel.
Available in an array of stunning colours, the Vibe SE allows users to choose a style that suits their personal taste.
This device, although lightweight, feels well crafted and robust, with no loose parts or creaky components, this clearly indicates that the meticulous manufacturing process is flawless and falls in line with Vaporesso’s well known high standards.
Utilising an inbuilt, 1100mAh battery, the Vibe SE is designed to last a typical day of moderate usage.
However, as a somewhat heavy vaper, I noticed myself having to charge it mid way through the day, before continuing. When its time to power up, this kit enlists the help of a USB C port, allowing for a quick, fuss free charging experience.
The inclusion of USB C is certainly a welcomed feature, as it aligns with modern charging standards and adds convenience to users who already use USB C for other devices.
The Vibe SE delivers a reliable and consistent vaping experience, focussing on MTL draws that closely mimics the sensation of inhaling a cigarette.
This makes it an excellent choice for those transitioning from smoking or for vapers that prefer tight draws.
This device’s coil system offers a flawless balance between flavour and throat hits, providing a tasty and satisfying experience.
While it may not produce massive amounts of vapour, the emphasis on flavour ensures that each and every puff is both impressive and enjoyable.
As with the Vaporesso Vibe kit, the auto draw function is remarkably responsive and eliminates the need of a fire button, adding to the straightforward nature of this device.
In line with many pod systems currently on the market, the Vibe SE utilises refillable pods with built in coils, and Vaporesso has designed them with ease of use and practicality in mind.
The pods themselves are fully TPD compliant, and hold a substantial 2ml worth of e-liquid, I found that the frequency of refills were surprisingly reserved and I was only replenishing the e-liquid a handful of times a day.
The pods used on both the Vibe and the Vibe SE are cross compatible and therefore share the same, secure, rubber seals used to fill the pod reducing instances of leakages/spills.
I found that the pods were constructed to minimise leaks, and in everyday usage, they perform well in this regard.
For me, the clear, defining feature of the Vibe SE would be its simplicity...this kit is almost as easy to operate as it gets, boosting its popularity among new vapers.
You will notice that there is a complete absence of buttons and no complex settings to mess around with, making it incredibly user friendly.
I felt that the draw activated mechanism and simple features gave this kit a streamlined approach that enhances the overall user experience.
The Vaporesso Vibe SE offers good value for its price point, and while specific pricing may vary depending on the retailer, the device is positioned as an affordable option that doesn’t compromise on quality.
Its durable nature, reliable performance and user friendly design makes it a worthwhile investment for users who want a dependable kit without spending a fortune.
Replacement pods are inexpensive and the coil longevity means users won’t need to constantly replenish their stock unnecessarily, further boosting the Vibe SE’s cost effectiveness.
The Vaporesso Vibe SE stands out as a reliable, easy to use and affordable vape that delivers consistent performance in a sleek package.
It focuses on simplicity and well thought out design features, including USB C charging and leak resistant pods, making it an appealing choice for vapers, both
new and experienced.
While the Vibe SE may not offer the advanced features or high powered performance usually associated with more technical set ups, this kit focuses on where it matters - providing a straightforward and sustainable option.
If these features sound good to you, the Vibe SE is well worth a look!
PROS
Easy to operate and maintain Inexpensive
Delivers a decent amount of flavour and a satisfying throat hit
Pod life is extensive and therefore more cost effective
CONS
As a heavy vaper, battery life was moderately affected, however, if you are a light or infrequent vaper, you’ll probably be fine with just a single charge a day.
Words:
Specifications:
Battery Capacity: 400mAh
Power Bank battery capacity: 2500mAh Power Output: 16W Max Pod Capacity: 2ml (TPD Compliant)
Charge Port: USB C
Boasting a whole host of incredible innovations, reviewing this kit was an exhilarating and fascinating experience, filled with unique features at every turn, and an impressive build quality.
This kit comes in two main parts, the vape itself and a separate but compatible power bank, so, for the sake of clarity on this review, I will refer to the device as the Wenax M1 Mini and the extension as the power bank.
Starting off with perhaps the most straightforward part of this device, I’m going to look at the super sleek Wenax M1 Mini itself.
Small, pen shaped and rather basic in terms of looks, this device is quite a common shape amongst pod systems in the industry right now.
Despite its compact shape and size, the Wenax M kit packs a decent 400mAh
integrated battery. This battery is fully rechargeable, via USB C or by magnetically connecting the Wenax M1 Mini to a chunky 2500mAh external power bank (which can also be recharged via USB C).
Due to the fact that this kit offers a true MTL vaping experience, you can expect battery life to be significantly longer lasting.
According to GeekVape, the duo of the Wenax M1 Mini and the accompanying power bank could last a moderate vaper a week of use before needing to charge it up again.
This feature in itself is truly mind blowing, and will benefit any vaper choosing to use this remarkable kit.
The convenience and reliability offered by a separate power bank is such a brilliant innovation, eliminating the hassle or worry of needing to power up your vape on a regular basis.
The Wenax M1 Mini seamlessly clicks on to the power bank via secure magnets, with no instances of rattling or looseness.
Enlisting the use of TPD compliant, 2ml capacity pods, I was intrigued to see how GeekVape would produce that iconic flavour intensity that they have become
known for.
Filled via a small rubber seal, and accommodating most eliquid bottle nibs, it was also very easy to see the liquid level in the pod itself.
These pods feature built in coils, meaning there is no need to swap out coils when they burn out, just dispose of the pod and fill up a new one. I found that coils lasted me approximately a week of usage before needing to be replaced.
Arriving with two different M1 pods, one being 0.8ohm and the other 1.2ohm, you have the choice to see which one suits you best.
I felt that the airier, 0.8ohm coil offered the best flavour and throat hit, in comparison to the tight, MTL inhale on the 1.2ohm.
Complimenting the tight draw, you have a choice of two different mouth piece styles, the traditional, round plastic one, and then (my personal favourite ) a cigarette-like filter tip.
That familiar mouth feel when using the filter tips closely matches the sensation of puffing on a cigarette, without the nasty tobacco smoke.
I personally think this will be a game changer for smokers looking to move away from cigarettes, increasing their chances of quitting for good.
Cost wise, the Wenax M Pod Starter Kit is slightly on the higher side, but this is understandable due to its incredible features and top tier construction.
As I briefly mentioned previously, the build quality on this kit is unbelievably top notch, it feels solid and precise, with sturdy connections
and harnesses the reliability synonymous with GeekVape.
Perfect for all levels of vapers, with a discreet draw, extremely long battery life and those unique mouthpieces, this kit will definitely draw the attention of smokers on the lookout for something to assist them with quitting for good.
Impressed would be an understatement and I truly enjoyed the host of trailblazing concepts and this was a really fun review to do.
The obvious inclusion of a hefty powerbank Sleek and compact, perfect for on the go Cigarette style mouth pieces gave a unique experience
CONS
I am used to a bit more of an airier draw when it comes to pod system inhales

Despite its compact design, the kit is robust and can withstand knocks and drops. Overall, the Deliciu Mate is a diverse, user-friendly, and reliable option for beginners and those transitioning from smoking.
Bursting at the seams with brightness, this flavour emanates a collection of fresh, floral notes. This key lime and raspberry flavoured vape is a refreshing and tasty choice.
The tartness of the key lime blends perfectly with the sweet raspberry, creating a delightful vape experience. A hint of cooling adds a fresh, icy finish without being overpowering. The flavours are well-balanced, making each puff fantastically enjoyable. This vape is perfect for those who love fruity flavours with a cool kick. It’s easy to enjoy all day, providing a simple yet satisfying vaping experience.
One of the OGs of the vape industry, Watermelon Ice is a firm favourite of many.
Simple but effective, the sweet, candied notes of watermelon ooze tropical vibes and provide a familiar but well executed set of tastes. With a hefty dose of iciness, the already refreshing nature of this flavour is exaggerated even more so.
A perfect choice for fans of full on fruitiness with an added punch of cooling agent, vapers will relish in the enjoyment of simplicity.
Although I’m not usually a big fan of icy vapes, I felt that the cold burst enhanced the flavour as a whole, and therefore provided a bright, startlingly straightforward and indulgent vape.
Another uber popular flavour doing the rounds at the moment, Strawberry Kiwi is a refreshing and tasty choice.
The sweet strawberry blends perfectly with the tangy kiwi, creating an interesting and enjoyable vape.
Each puff delivers a balanced mix of both fruits, making it a satisfying and complex vape for any time of day.
The flavour is vibrant but not overpowering, and I really enjoyed the interaction between the two constituents.
This vape is perfect for those who enjoy fruity flavours and want something fresh and satisfying. Overall, it’s a simple yet delicious vape, and I would gladly use this flavour all day long.
Simplicity is at the heart of this flavour from Deliciu, and that minimalism is what makes this flavour pop.
Bright, sharp, punchy and slightly acidic, the pineapple flavouring used in this pod is extremely well rounded and has been layered perfectly.
The notes of pineapple offer both realistic and candied elements, something I felt gave the straightforward set of flavours a small touch of complexity.
As suggested by the name, you will most definitely pick up on a substantial hit of icy cooling agent. To me, this added to the refreshing, tropical feel, and was a welcomed experience on a hot summer’s day.
Evidently one of my ‘go to’ choices when it comes to choosing a flavour, Grape vapes can vary massively in their execution.
Some can come across as mediocre or artificial in nature, overflowing with what I refer to as an ‘aftershave’ taste.
Having said that, this flavour was the complete opposite to those bad experiences. It is presented as bright, bold and deeply sweet.
To me, it kind of came across as a grape candy or bubblegum, as it carried the well rounded flavour we all know and seem to love.
I felt it was simple in its ingredients but still managed to bring together a collection of modalities, boasting sweetness and a subtle tartness, giving a unique and moreish vape.
Remarkably straightforward but simultaneously effective, this flavour is about as recognisable as it gets.
Offering an unequivocally sharp menthol taste, the iciness in this flavour is unmatched and reliable. It is cold, biting and provides the iconic taste one expects. Building upon the cool feel of this already icy flavour comes a blended undertone of cooling agent. Together, the menthol and the iciness combine to create the ultimate, cold vaping experience. There is a total lack of other flavour constituents, meaning menthol vapers won’t have to worry about unnecessary complexities in the form of fruity undertones. Simple and effective, you really do know what you’re getting with this flavour.
Harnessing the very best of berries, this complex and multifaceted flavour encompasses the fresh, bright feel of ripe summer fruits. Sweet strawberry meets aromatic and delicate raspberry, combining in an interesting and satisfying manner.
Contrasting the sweet, refined and somewhat nuanced blend of strawberry and raspberry, comes a bold, punchy and slightly sour cherry note. To me, the cherry element was sharp but delightful and provided a solid base on which the other berries could flourish. Once again, as indicated by its name, this flavour incorporated a considerable dose of cooling agent, right on the exhale. I really enjoyed the combination of flavours, and the added ice was the perfect touch in my opinion.
Unique, bold and somewhat unheard of within the e-liquid industry, this flavour combined two rather unusual elementssomething I found both interesting and welcomed. Oftentimes, I come across the same profiles from multiple e-liquid manufacturers, meaning it can sometimes get a little monotonous trying and reviewing said flavours. This taste was quite literally a breath of fresh air, not only was it a flavour I had yet to encounter, but was beautifully executed. Bold, bright and tart, the notes of blackberry encompassed the iconic British summertime taste flawlessly. Complementary to the familiar taste of berries, comes a somewhat tropical vibe of sour lime.
Filled to the brim with effervescence, this citrusy flavour boasts all of the characteristics of true refreshment. Sharp and acidic, the notes of lemon simultaneously present as both sour and fizzy, softened slightly by a soothing sweetness of strawberry.
With just a touch of iciness, the level of freshness is sky high, and I found this flavour to be incredibly easy to enjoy - with little in the way of being mundane or repetitive. Certainly one of the better renditions of this uber popular profile, fans of sour vapes will definitely appreciate this one.
Another popular but complex flavour profile, Kiwi Passionfruit Guava has been attempted hundreds of times, but how would this one hold up?
Each fruit was presented precisely, and the intertwining ratio of the constituents was perfectly balanced.
The kick of kiwi was fizzy and sharp, giving way to an exotic, sweet and almost bubbly passionfruit. Sweeping these two powerful flavours together, you will notice a ripe and juicy guava - thus providing a well executed and carefully concocted tasting vape.
As with most similar interpretations from other brands, there was just a hint of cooling agent - something I have grown to enjoy.
Simple, effective and downright impressive, the co-occurrence of sweet and effervescent tastes combine in a predictable and enjoyable fashion.
To me, the notes of cherry were conveyed in a way that reminded me of the iconic sour cherry candies.
It tasted full, well rounded and astonishingly sweet, with a wave of bright iciness grouping the other elements in a well executed manner.
Simple in its creation, I feel that the lack of over complication was at the heart of this e-liquid.
This flavour is for lovers of sugary, familiar tasting vapes, and who are seeking a notion of acute nostalgia.
Bright, bubbly and intensely fizzy, the combination of two popular citrus elements meet in an ecstatically bold manner.
The iconic flavour constituents often go hand in hand with one another, and this remarkably complex pairing also offers a level of scintillating effervescence with every puff.
Recognisable from the get go, this flavour produced a level of similarity to a prominent lemon and lime soda - gathering the sour and bright feeling, but in vape form.
There was just a tad of cooling agent chucked in there, and in a nice enough level to enhance the fresh vibe that this vape offers.
As a flavour profile with innumerable fans, Blueberry Sour Raspberry vapes seem to be a dime a dozen, with some performing better than others. Out of the several I have encountered, this one is definitely up there. Sweet, albeit delicate, the notes of blueberry gives a calming undertone on which the tart raspberry can oppose. The ingenious proportions between the two were simply perfect, with the sourness and softness offsetting one another precisely. Again, as with most flavours currently riding the wave of popularity, there is a modest amount of iciness added right on the exhale. If you are a vaper who enjoys powerful, fruity flavours, you’ll no doubt love this one.

About as basic as they get, the Wondar 1 Kit designed by Geek Bar aims to offer a fuss-free, reliable and straightforward to use vape device.
The unmistakable pen shape, often seen amongst pod systems from various brands, the Wondar 1 also comes in an array of sleek colours.
Refined, simple and catering very much to adult consumers, I liked the fact that there were no bright colours that may appeal to youngsters.
Light to hold, but weighty enough to exude a quality feel, the Wondar 1 has a miniscule form factor and will fit snugly in any pocket or bag.
With a total lack of buttons, nor a screen, this device is very much a plug and play sort of
Due to the lack of buttons, this kit is draw activated and you are unable to adjust power outputs.
Some may see this as a negative, however, I feel that the absence of buttons/settings allows beginner vapers to easily integrate, without the extra fuss that may put some people off of the idea of vaping entirely.
Enlisting the use of a fully rechargeable, 650mAh built-in battery, one charge should easily last most moderate vapers a days worth of puffing.
When it comes time to recharge, it takes a mere 45 minutes to get going again.
Adding to the already basic set up, the Wondar 1 makes use of 2ml, TPD compliant pods with inbuilt coils, this saves time and hassle when it comes time to filling up.
Transparent in colour, it is super easy to see the fill level in the pod,
eliminating any instances of overfilling.
The kit comes with a 0.8ohm pod which works fantastically well with high strength nicotine eliquidsanother plus for new vapers.
The flavour production was quite decent, and I would say that the draw was more of a restricted direct to lung than a super tight MTL.
Cost wise, the Wondar 1 is expected to be very affordable, this, alongside its simple set up and operation, makes this kit the ideal choice for smokers and/or new vapers.
As a review, I knew this would be precise and to the point, mirroring the refined simplicity offered by the Wondar 1 Kit itself.
I found it to be sufficient, easy to operate, easy to maintain and remarkably user friendly, a perfect side kick in anyone’s non smoking journey.
PROS
Super simple to use Battery was sufficient Pods were easy to see through No leaking

Sometimes it seems like the vaping industry is constantly under attack; whether it be from ill-informed and inaccurate scare stories in the mainstream media; increasing pressure to impose an all-out flavour ban or from calls to implement the disastrous Australian ‘prescription-only’ sales model in the UK.
However, the UKVIA has had some great successes recently including getting vape licensing included in the Tobacco and Vapes Bill and a requirement for consultation before new vape laws are introduced under the powers it brings to regulate flavours, product design and retail displays.
