Expressions of interest for the Growing Regions Program – an initiative aimed at supporting regional development – opened this week, Federal Member for Leichhardt Warren Entsch says. The program was opened to incorporated not-forprofit organisations and local governments to provide infrastructure funding opportunities of between $500,000 and $15 million. Applicants were required to make a cash cocontribution, which varied based on circumstances outlined in the grant guidelines. “The Growing Regions Program is a fantastic opportunity for our community to access funding for projects that will drive growth and development in our region,” Mr Entsch said. “I encourage all eligible organisations to submit their expressions of interest and take advantage of this great opportunity.” He said projects that brought a broad benefit to the local community and improved socio-economic outcomes were of particular interest. Expressions of interests close on Tuesday 1 August 2023.

Successful applicants were then invited to provide a more detailed applications from 1 November 2023. All projects were to be completed by 31 December 2025.
