Taipans in with a chance to play NBL Championships
Last Sunday the Cairns Taipans advanced to the NBL Playoffs – to be played this week – after dominating the Perth Wildcats, 91-78, in the do-or-die Play-In Game.
The result meant the Taipans would battle the defending champions Sydney Kings in the best-of-three game Playoff series, with a spot in the Championship Series on the line.
Game 1 of the Kings v Taipans series was last night at Qudos Bank Arena.
The winner of the series will battle the winner of the New Zealand Breakers v Tasmania JackJumpers Playoff series in the Championship Series.
