STARTUPS GET SUPPORT FROM GOV’T, PRIVATE SECTOR PARTNERS
QBO Innovation Hub, the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), and the International Trade Center (ITC) joined efforts to successfully complete the second cohort of the ARISE Plus Young Entrepreneurs (YE) Boost Accelerator program.
On its second year of implementation, the YE accelerator program awarded 12 winners who were drafted from 88 startup participants. The new set of winners are equipped with the necessary skills, resources, and networks to scale their ventures and compete globally.
Backed by major partners such as the DTI, Department of Science and Technology (DOST), PLDT and Microsoft, the event marked the end of a 14-week program aimed at accelerating the growth and development of a cohort Philippine youth-led businesses, providing them with the support needed to expand internationally.
Trade undersecretary for Competitiveness and Innovation Group (CIG) Rafaelita M. Aldaba said the program provides valuable opportunity to network and underscore the unwavering commitment of both the public and private sectors to foster youth-led entrepreneurship.
While, IdeaSpace Foundation and QBO Innovation Hub president Butch Meily underscored the significance of mentorship in the continued growth of startups.
The ARISE Plus Ye! Boost Accelerator, a flagship initiative under the ARISE Plus Philippines project funded by the European Union (EU), provides comprehensive support to early-stage startups.
