Having Fun at Any Age By Julie Young

“Having fun now has more of an independent aspect to it than it did when I was a teenager and had a curfew. I enjoy spending time in my apartment, hanging with my friends, and the freedom that comes from college life. As long as you stay true to yourself and where you come from, you can find fun. You don’t have to change to fit in.”

25 Andrea “I usually find fun things to do on social media. I’ve discovered new museum exhibits, art installations, or even nearby scenic cities on friends’ Instagram or Facebook posts. At this age, fun usually involves a few adult beverages and/or spending money, (but) I also find fun in the people I love, whether that is fishing with my boyfriend or singing along to music with my friends.”

29 Kaila “I used to like going out bar hopping with acquaintances/friends, going to parties and traveling to lots of different places. But now I find that (my idea of fun) has changed considerably…due to age and priority changes. I find that hanging out with family, close friends, reading and watching TV shows/ movies is how I have fun these days.”

“Before I had children and a husband, I found it incredibly fun to be a social butterfly who would go to parties, bars, and bonfires to interact with people everywhere. Now, I prefer my close circle of family and friends. I often tell myself to slow down and savor the small stuff (because) it helps me remember that I am very lucky and have a lot to be thankful for.”
