Lodge 6, Cottonwood to honors mothers at May 1 meeting The monthly meeting of Lodge 6, Cottonwood was called to order by President Milton Peterson. The Pledge of Allegiance and SPJST motto were recited, followed by a moment of silence to honor our sick and deceased members. Sister Irene Peterson reported 21 adult members, four guests, and nine youth members were present. Minutes from the March meeting were read by Secretary Barbara Hykel. Treasurer’s report was given by Peggy Dobecka. Both reports were approved as
presented by the membership. Youth club report was given by Peggy Dobecka. Congratulations to Aubrianna Dobecka and Quinlan Dobecka for their winning entries at District Three Youth Achievement Day (YAD). Barbara Hykel reported she received notification of a new Lodge 6 member, youth Ruth Muenler. Barbara then read the list of 50-year and 75-year members, followed by acknowledgment of two members reaching 96 years of age. Congratulations to all! SPJST Home Office news was reported by FAC Jeanette Beseda. The event, Cars & Guitars, has been rescheduled for Saturday, October 29 at Camp Kubena.
