The dance was pretty well attended not a great crowd but better than expected. With Covid-19 starting again and illnesses, many stayed home, including Johnny and I. On Wednesday, July 14, 2021, President Randy Pavelka called the Lodge 35, Elk and Elk Hall Incorporated meetings to order at 7:14 p.m. Twelve members were present. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited by officers and members. Barbara Pavelka was on the sick list. We hope she is feeling better. Secretary Carla Price read the minutes from the June 23 meetings, and with no corrections, they were approved

as read. Treasurer Cari Hammer read her reports as well, and they were approved as read. Under old business, Cari is still catching up with paperwork and taxes. She is doing a great job as our treasurer. Thank you, Cari. Floor Chair Gene Pavelka and Bar Chair Randy Pavelka both presented good reports. Under new business, we would like to thank District Three Director John Engelke for delivering new signs to put on the outside of the building. They will look very nice on our hall. Thank you, SPJST, for the attractive signs. We appreciate it! After discussion, Walter Kubitza made a motion to raise the door price for our Saturday night dances to $8 per person over the age of 12, effective immediately. The motion, seconded by Donnie Pavelka, carried. Happy Retirement, Janie Coakley! Thursday July 29, 2021 • SPJST Home Office
Congratulations to Janie Coakley, who served as Executive Assistant to the Chief Financial Officer. Janie retired on July 31, 2021 after 15 years of service with SPJST Home Office. She is a member of Lodge 177, Academy.
She was honored with a reception at the SPJST Home Office. Best wishes, Janie! We will miss you.
