4-H arts contest open to all youth Entries are being accepted now for the virtual 4-H Day in the Arts contest. Youth from 5K to one year past high school are welcome to participate. There is no cost to participate and 4-H membership is not required. “The goal of the 4-H Day in the Arts Contest is to give youth an opportunity to express their creativity, while also developing skills in a supportive and encouraging environment,” according to a news release from the Green County UW-Extension.

The contest has nine divisions: vocal, instrumental, dance, drama, speaking, demonstration, arts and crafts, photography and Cloverbuds (for 5K to second grade only). Entries are limited to a total of five entries, with a limit of two entries per division. Entries must be submitted by March 7 by going online to bit.ly/3aCmeEr. All performances and exhibits must have been performed, completed or taken after Oct. 1, 2020. Each submission will be evaluated and provided

written constructive feedback and a certificate of participation. There also will be a virtual celebration and public viewing of all the art submissions on March 21. The young artists are welcome to invite their friends and family to participate.
