The after-school sector takes an ecosystem approach to
recover learning losses It is estimated that it could take us nearly 20 years to fully recover the learning losses we’ve incurred from the pandemic in the past two years. In the absence of a clear and detailed recovery plan from the Department of Basic Education (DBE), the after-school sector and its network of partners are stepping up to support catch-up efforts.
