PHYSICAL THERAPY Q. Is Stellar Rehab open? A. Stellar Rehabilitation IS open, following all Federal, State, Local and Company guidelines to provide excellent care in our clinics. Stellar’s clinics are sanitized daily and after each appointment, each employee is screened and records their temperature daily and maintains the highest level of precautions to ensure staff and clients are safe during their visit. Each client is also screened and their temperature is taken/recorded prior to any visit.
However, we also understand that this is not an option for everyone and/or some clients do not feel comfortable leaving their homes. In that situation, Stellar Rehab can continue to follow those same precautions AND come to you! There is no more important time to be able to stay in your home, safely. We can provide in-home nursing and therapy services through our partnerships, can assist with obtaining the proper physician referral, verify insurance coverage, and arranging times that are convenient with your schedule, providing options for treatment and self-help instructions. If you are in need of in-home nursing and/or therapy services, let us help!

INSURANCE
Q. Do I have accident forgiveness?

A. Yes, even during Covid-19, we can still help you with all your insurance needs. Liberty Mutual Insurance does have accident forgiveness and violation forgiveness. We also provide new car replacement, so when you purchase a ne w car and it gets totaled you will get a year ne wer car with 15,000 less miles. It is a great benefit that Liberty Mutual provides that some carriers do not offer. If you would like to discuss these kinds of coverages in more detail, please give me a call.
REALTOR Q. Should I sell my home this Spring with all that’s going on?
adno=150167 A. As the COVID-19 “stay at home” order remains in effect for the next few weeks, several clients have asked me if now is a good time to sell their home. There is no doubt that dynamics have changed due to COVID-19 but early signs since the outbreak show that there is still strong Buyer demand in Fitchburg. Also, the Governor’s Stay at Home order that lasts until April 24 deems real estate as an “essential service”. During these extraordinary times, Sellers still have the ability to market their home to Buyers through exclusive showings, video open houses combined with a strategic internet marketing campaign. That is why now more than ever it is important to work with a Realtor who understands the current conditions of the local market and has the technological and creative skills to still take advantage of our “Seller’s Market” in Fitchburg. And of course, safety and public health comes first during these times! Please visit shawnpfaff.firstweber.com to find out the value of your home and discuss ways to strategically market your home. CREMATION SERVICES
Q. I have been reading your “ask a pro” article for months. I would really like an answer as to why this is beneficial. I’m in my 70’s and feel great. A. What we offer is really not just for you. It’s for those you love and will be leaving with responsibilities and hard decisions when that time comes. It’s a loving final gift to those you love most. We do not have to meet face to face to set up your pre-need. In such trying times it’s only natural to consider our final wishes.

VETERINARIAN Q. Find the silver-lining while sheltering at home: using this time to engage with our furry friends. A. In these uncertain times it is more important than ever to prioritize our health and the health of those around us, both physical and mental. How fortunate we are if our only grievances include the (in)convenience of working from home, improving personal and household hygiene practices, and maintaining an adequate level of mental stimulation during the day. If we’re lucky, a free and easy mood-booster might be curled up right ne xt to us. As we’re grasping for structure and normalcy, why not form a new-normal, daily routine? Spend those minutes you’d be commuting out walking your dog, instead. Explore new parts of your neighborhood and “socialize” by greeting other dogs and dog parents from a safe distance—and help your pup master basic commands like “sit,” or “stay” in the process. Walk your usual route in the opposite direction or add some detours and see how the familiar becomes entirely new. Take more breaks throughout the day and feel the mood-boost five minutes of playing with a pet can achieve, you’ll both be thankful you did. Importantly, while most veterinary clinics have been able to remain open, some new protocols might be in place—familiarize yourself with those and be prepared in the event of an emergency. Now more than ever, don’t hesitate to call your local veterinarian. Stay safe!

SENIOR CARE Q. Can I still receive my needed home visits from Comfort Keepers during Covid-19?
A. The Novel Corona virus is the ubiquitous word in recent days as the growth of this virus rises around the world. Comfort Keepers is dedicated to compassionate and health y care and has been acti ve ly monitoring the progression of the virus and guidance from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC).
We belie ve that home remains the safest place for you or your lo ve d one, as indications show that the virus is spread more quickly in larger group or public settings. Possible exposure will remain the lowest for those who are able to stay in their homes with limited outside contact. For this reason, we feel fortunate to be able to provide care that can keep people at home and limit their e xposure through personalized care and support. James Rudolph President & CEO
We are following updates and procedures from the CDC, State Department of Health, local and county authorities, the Home Care Association of America, and other agencies and resources.
We are vigilant about our need to help protect our staff and clients from illness be it the flu, COVID-19, or any other communicable disease.
CHIROPRACTOR Q. I am looking forward to getting out on my bike with nicer weather right around the corner but I usually get neck pain when I ride. Would chiropractic or massage help with this? A. Whether you are riding a recreational bike, road bike, or tri bike the neck is forced into a position that puts pressure on the posterior portion of the cervical spine. This position also forces the neck to remain in a state of continued contraction that can cause joint and muscle soreness. Chiropractic adjustments will help maintain healthy joint mobility and function. This will help alleviate pain and will prolong your years of cycling. Therapeutic massage will help reduce muscle soreness and any restrictions in the neck caused by that continued contraction. Along with regular chiropractic and massage, exercises would be prescribed to help increase strength and mobility in your neck and upper back. Lee Unwin, BCMT, CSCS Jill Unwin, DC, CCEP

The following are some of the protocols and procedures we have in place. • Our staf f is trained in infectious disease control. • Our caregivers should not care for those who exhibit signs of or have been tested positive for the virus as a safekeeping measure for themselves and for their other clients and families. • Our caregivers have an established protocol to stay home if they are ill with any sickness so as to not infect an y of our clients or their f amily members. • Our staff follows hygiene procedures directed by the CDC, including vigorous and frequent handwashing with soap and water, use of sanitizing gels (with 70% alcohol level or higher), use of disinfectant wipes to frequently wipe down surfaces, proper coughing and sneezing techniques, disposal of any items that may have virus or bacteria, and much more. • If any of our staff or their clients should show signs of COVID-19, we will report, isolate and quarantine, as necessary, abiding by national and local guidelines. • Rest assured your loved ones will always be safe with Comfort Keepers.

MORTGAGE BANKING
Q. How can I improve my credit score? A. Having a balance of at least half of your credit card limit can reduce your credit scores from 10-15 points. If you max out your credit cards you can expect a 60-100 point drop. The best rule of thumb in regards to revolving credit cards is to carry a balance less than 30% of your limit. Also, don’t close your credit cards as it reduces your total spending limit, which can also drop your scores.
