SOUTH PLANTATION HIGH STUDENTS Say “Thank You” to Plantation PD
S
outh Plantation High School hosted members of Plantation’s finest and bravest on April 13th for its second annual First Responder Appreciation Day. The drive-thru event took place at the high school carpool lane all morning. Firefighters and police officers were greeted by cheering students, signs showing appreciation, and a token gift bag. The event was incredibly well received by officers, who sometimes don’t get to hear how much they are appreciated. The official Plantation Police Twitter account posted, “Thank you South Plantation High School for hosting a First Responder Appreciation Day! We enjoyed interacting with the students and a bag full of goodies that was gifted to us! Thank You!” The community-building event fits nicely with South Plantation High’s mission, “To inspire and develop all Paladins through positive relationships and meaningful high-quality instruction to reach their highest potential.”
