T
he new Labotec filtration manifolds are available in single, three or six branches with a choice of glass or stainless-steel funnels. As an introductory special, Labotec is offering a combination of Labotec manifolds, KNF vacuum pump and Labotec membrane filters at a reduced price until end December 2019 for you to try out. This filtration system is widely used in the fields of chemical industry, biochemical pharmacy, environmental protection, food and beverage, etc. Vacuum filtration involves the collection of a particulate (bacteria, precipitate, etc.) from a liquid suspension. Liquid poured into a funnel passes through a filter, which retains the particulate, and the filtrate can be collected into a filter flask directly or via a vacuum manifold. The multi-branch vacuum filtration systems from Labotec have an integrative filter with a durable structure and beautiful contours. They are equipped with separate valves so that it can filter a single sample or multiple samples simultaneously. This can save time when testing many samples. The solvent filter is made from 316L stainless
steel and has characteristics of acid resistance, alkali resistance, fast filtering speed, long service life, easy cleaning and operating. There is also a choice of glass solvent filters in two sizes. This glass solvent filter is made of highquality extra hard glass that can be sterilised at high temperature and high pressure. New e-jet transfer vacuum pump
N
atsep offers the Microsart e.jet transfer pump, a laboratory vacuum pump that creates vacuum for vacuum filtration units and simultaneously transfers the filtered liquid to waste. The Microsart e.jet is ideal for sample filtration in microbiology applications, achieving a transmembrane pressure of 600mbar and a flow rate of 3.5l/min. These constant flow rates and the defined maximum vacuum guarantees smooth and reliable filtration. Until now, vacuum equipment for the Membrane Filtration Method consisted of numerous parts, including connectors, tubes, vacuum containers, protection filters, collection bottles and the vacuum pump. This not only requires more space but is also tedious, as after a few samples the vacuum must be broken
to empty the filtrate collection container. The new Microsart e.jet greatly reduces operating complexity. The Microsart e.jet pump is an ideal accessory for six- and three-branch manifolds. The Microsart e.jet and stainless-steel manifold require only 30% of the average space, meaning less congestion when working in laminar flow cabinets. Traditional vacuum pumps often lose their efficiency and capability to generate sufficient vacuum when liquid is drawn into the pump head. The Microsart e.jet is designed to pump both gas and liquids, resulting in no loss of efficiency or malfunctions from water drawn into the pump head.
