As more houses of worship extend their message to reach congregants remotely, whether for live streaming or to send a feed to other areas, a reliable and robust audio and video setup becomes critical. Systems will now routinely include one or more HDMI sources, including cameras, local video monitors, and other equipment to support live streaming. With this trend comes the requirement to send those source signals without delay and in the best quality, which can be a tall order.
For example, ensuring that your camera has the best angle to capture the service may require it to be placed at a distance from the computer input that is farther than the standard HDMI cable length — 40 to 50 feet. That’s where an HDMI HDBaseT extender can bridge the gap, delivering uncompressed HDMI video and audio signals.

With our HDMI HDBaseT extenders, houses of worship can extend HDMI digital audio/ video up to 328 feet over a single Cat6 or Cat6a cable at up to 4K resolution utilizing HDBaseT technology. This workhorse of a solution is ideal for church campuses, enabling sources to be shared to display end points beyond the length limitations of standard HDMI cabling, including overflow rooms, classrooms, meeting rooms, and auditoriums.

The C2G family of HDMI HDBaseT extenders includes 16 transmitters, receivers, and transmitter/receiver kits with included power adapters. Transmitters are offered in box and wall plate form factors, with wall plate transmitters available in single- and dual-gang configurations. Receivers are available with built-in scaling, in addition to S/PDIF outputs for the de-embedding of connected audio devices for audio distribution. All devices are HDCP 2.2-compliant to ensure a secure connection between the source and display. For greater installation flexibility, Power over Cable (PoC) and Power over HDBaseT (PoH) support mean that only one power adapter is required at the transmitter or receiver to power both units.
