13 hr phase time-catcher - a screen that retracts and expands on cycle out of phase with local events, it’s slow movement contrasting with the rapid flow of vehicles, pedestrians, billboard images and weather, bracketing events and so implicating itself in the event-time of times square, more than in its space frame. a figural, analogical incorporation of time, syncopated to the variable and interminable speeds of other flows - an aphasic event. a basketweave frame mounted on an hydraulic lift, it would be the anti-image counterpoint to the numerous flows of times square.
