The history of Lundhs began more than 100 years ago when Alfred Lundh came from Sweden to Norway to run one of the biggest quarrying companies of the era. In 1962, Thor Lundh, Alfred’s grandson, founded his own quarrying company – Lundhs. Throughout the history of the company, innovation has been a Lundhs hallmark. The way natural stone is used has changed a lot over the years. Methods of extracting the stone have been revolutionised. Lundhs has always been at the forefront of these changes. Today the company is still family owned and Thor’s grandson, Thor-Anders Lundh Haakestad, is the CEO. He is proud to continue the family’s quarrying traditions and does so with the same passion for quality and high precision that his forefathers had.
