Do You Know Where Your Luxury Handbag Is Right Now?

t 1:42 p.m., the loss prevention manager for a luxury retail store received an alert on her smartphone. A $500 designer handbag was on the move. The notification on the screen clearly showed the item had left the designated handbag zone and was heading toward the emergency exit. The fact that the LP manager was able to monitor activity in real time and respond immediately kept the retailer from incurring a big hit to its bottom line.
