THEN, SHALL PERISH Yes, when the selfish world tries to distract The ‘language’ has the charisma to attract; When region and racial imbalances surface The ‘literature’ has the charisma to balance. For ‘society’ is the backbone of the universe Mutual acceptance gives no scope for violence; A harmonious bent of mind in every human Can enlighten the world with ever-new vision. To make all out efforts to influence the society Writers and poets across the globe need unity; Because language and literature have no barriers Let us attempt to become transformation-carriers. Together we, with a steadfast and resolute mind Pledge to promote language and literature around; Let us aim to transform the society we live in, Then shall perish; the dispassion and discrimination.
