Ashok Chakravarthy Tholana - Vibrant Musings (a collection of poems)

GLOOM AND GRIEF Yes, thirsting for ever-new pleasures Running after the never-ending desires; Enticed by materialistic world pleasures One gets trapped blindfold in its layers. Though inner-self cautions us on this Yet we run after the mirages of bliss; In a bid to grab some golden feathers Ego-bloated, we compete with others. Unless we shun, we are wise than others And peep into the conscious-self of ours; Unless we realize the high merit of life Future flings to the hook of gloom and grief. Once we annihilate our ego and ignorance Yes, righteousness can spread its radiance; It drives away the darkness of deception And transform us to become better persons.
