UNFORTUNATELY, BUT... (A poem for WORLD EARTH DAY) Yes, let us save our planet with total responsibility Lest, present situation shall eliminate humanity; We are the culprits and we are the selfish stock As spectators our silence is bound to create havoc. If not we awaken from the slumber of distinction If not we come out of the garb of race and region, And think of mother earth that’s the source of life Humanity is bound to suffer from pain and grief. Earth is selfless, cannot be different or indifferent Earth is always tolerant and can never be intolerant, Outwardly or inwardly earth loves every living being Only looks attached but unattached is human being. Earth regards but never disregards any living creature It obeys the seasons, never disobeys needs of future; While earth is engrossed in doing good for one and all Unfortunately but, why humans are striking at its cycle.
