Dear Partner in ministry,

The reason I am a Christian today is that someone gave me a printed resource to read. In fact, I was given several resources, and I read and enjoyed them. And then I was given a book that led me to Jesus and prompted me to surrender my life to Him. I have been in full-time ministry for thirty years because someone shared a resource with me.

At It Is Written, we are committed to producing resources that will have a life-changing impact on those being led by the Holy Spirit towards the kingdom of heaven.

Jenny is a follower of Jesus. Her husband, Brian* was not. That is, until recently, when God worked through a resource we had produced here at It Is Written.

Jenny had been praying for Brian for many years, but he had never taken any steps to include Jesus in his life. When Jenny placed a set of It Is Written Bible Study Guides on a table in their family room, she hoped Brian would be interested enough to look at them. For two years the Bible studies sat unopened, in spite of Jenny’s constant prayers that Brian would show some interest in spiritual matters.

Then one day as Jenny returned home, she found Brian engrossed in the studies. He developed a deep interest in the Bible, and completed the entire series. Soon after, Brian made a decision for baptism!

I was recently told about a man who began studying the It Is Written Bible Study Guides—in his 90s! He loved what he learned, accepted Jesus as His Savior, and was baptized. My wife, Melissa, reports that she regularly hears of children studying the My Place With Jesus Bible Guides from It Is Written. “A boy told me how excited he was to complete the Bible Guides and learn about the Bible. He gave his life to Jesus and was baptized,” Melissa said.

A boy of ten years of age, a man in his nineties, and another man somewhere in between, all brought to faith in God through resources produced at It Is Written.

As I have written many times, there is no way we could do this without you. And even though we live in a high-tech world, virtually everyone who comes to Jesus does so—at some stage in their experience—via printed resources.

Here’s an interesting statistic. In the first nine months of last year, book sales in the United States increased 1%. However, during that same time period, Bible sales increased by 22%! People are searching for answers to their most consequential questions.

The need is great right now to produce more, new resources to lead children, teens and adults into a saving relationship with Christ. Additionally, we have requests in front of us right now to translate the My Place With Jesus Bible Guides for use in the 10-40 Window, and to prepare Flight 3:16, our Vacation Bible School, to take off in various parts of the world. A report I received recently said that since we translated the It Is Written Bible Guides into Urdu, dozens of people in Muslim Pakistan have been baptized.

Your support this month will enable us to bring these resources into existence. There are people around the world who will be impacted by your generosity. Every week, people request It Is Written resources in the hundreds and thousands, often after watching It Is Written programs on TV or online.

Will you help me enable someone to have the experience I had? I wouldn’t be writing this letter to you right now if a resource hadn’t been printed and then shared. I shudder to think where I would be. I am eternally grateful that someone invested in printing literature, and that someone else shared that literature with me.

I hope and pray you will be used by God to connect a searching soul with the saving truth of the gospel. Your support of It Is Written this month will not only enable us to print and distribute resources worldwide, but will also make it possible for more people like Brian—and me—to find faith in Jesus.

But when he picked up a set of the It Is Written Bible Study Guides, his life changed. He surrendered his life to Jesus, and was baptized. After studying It Is Written Bible studies, a man in his 90s was baptized and became a committed follower of Jesus. PPS. An exciting ministry update! Since our Ethiopia mission trip earlier this year, two more large baptisms have been held. Our ongoing Bible work has resulted in an additional baptism of more than 600 souls, and then a second baptism of 255. We praise the Lord that your support of evangelism has now resulted in more than 4,000 baptisms in Ethiopia this year. I thank God. And I thank you for what you have made possible.
