was shaming other nearby towns that canceled their parade and didn't reschedule. That certainly wasn't the intention. The Anna, Van Alstyne, Howe same day parade is a remarkable tradition and hopefully, the weather will help us out in 2019.

Coach Derek Lands got his 300th win back in the 2013-14 season and has quickly reached another milestone - this time 400 against Whitewright on Tuesday night.
Lands was hanging on win number 399 when he lost his leading scorer and defender Jenna Honore. The result was a couple of losses at the hands of Princeton and Campbell. But just as Honore returned from a hand injury, the stubborn Lady Bulldogs defense returned with a vengeance.

Howe dominated Whitewright by allowing only five first period points while scoring 19 of their own. An easing of the reigns left the Lady Bulldogs with a 40-16 halftime lead.

Howe kept attacking in the third period where the Lady Bulldogs toppled Whitewright, 20-6 in the third period. Howe coasted to the 64-33 win.
The parade may have been delayed by a week due to bad weather, but the show went on and people still lined the streets for the Annual Christmas Parade.
It's not often that students get to visit with lawmakers and judges, but they did just that last week as two men with ties to Howe spoke with the Howe Elementary third graders.
